BLOG: What percentage of subscribers is good? What is normal instead?
In another thread I've been told that if 15% of my visitors subscribe I'm doing very well (for a blog - no squeeze page).
1) But what is normal? What percentage of traffic who visits your blog subscribes?
And most of all:
2) How do you calculate it?
I do have a landing page and I tend to direct my all traffic there, but at least half of my traffic lands on a different page of my blog (I guess the organic half from google).
So for example, making up numbers, if in the past week I got:
1000 unique visitors to my blog
only 500 of them actually saw my landing page
and I got 50 subscribers
What is my subscribers rate?
50/1000 x 100 = 5%
or
50/500 x 100 = 10%
3) Do you count bounce backs?
At least 30% of my traffic comes from a google search unrelated with the topic of my site. I really wonder how they get on my blog because the domain name they keep searching does not exist.
Should I count them in my subscribers statistics?
Thank you for your help.
