How effective the conversion will be solemly depends on you and your sales letter.
How effective the book will be? That's up to you aswell. It has to be really informative in order to stand out amongst the mountain of eBooks regarding SEO.

This solely depends on your landing pagewhere you are providing people your product. Although your product does also matter. If it is about something interesting people might opt in better.

    Hello Abrar,

I definitely agree about giving away a valuable freebie to build a targeted list. Note that SEO is very competitive, so your information is going to have be very valuable and in-depth to really stand out from the large crowd. You will also need to effectively market it and spread the word in order to really build up a sizable, quality list.

As others have mentioned, the quality of the sales letter and really including what benefits your target market will be key to your success with your freebie and with your future offers. It would likely help as well if you provide some of your personal experiences regarding SEO and how these methods have directly helped you and your sites (screenshots may be helpful in proving these claims).

Hope this helps - good luck!

    Take care,

The content and title are very important for your conversion.

Create a handbook that is able to solve your readers' problem
    Immediately..

Don't write another how to ebook..
There are tons of them available..

Write on (tips/strategies)that achieve results(money/visitors) in time (days/hours)

It don't have to be long.. In Fact, the shorter the better..
You need to present the key/focus as soon as possible..

People have no patience to read a free book..
    They want immediate results..

One more tip: to improve your conversion rate, do
Consider to convert your book into a video..

It will help greatly in your conversion.

Beside this, you can also post in YouTube to gather more traffic.

    Hope this help.

I think this depends on how informative the ebook is, if the reader of the ebook find it very helpful and different from those ebook that was published before I guess the reader will pay attention of checking out the writers blog then.

Make sure that you list the benefits that the person will get out of the e-book once they download it. Those are the best selling and conversion points.

The more benefits that you provide on the squeeze page without cluttering it up, the better it will be for your conversion rates because if people can see that when they get the book that they'll definitely benefit from it, then they will subscribe and get it.

To help write good content you can use 'content spinners' This takes the content you research and re-words it for you.

Clever and saves a lot of time

I would strongly urge you to write your sales letter FIRST, then make sure your product provides the information that you market in your sales letter.

This works wonders because it forces you to think in terms of the highest demand, most urgent questions and motivations of your market instead of coming at it from the angle of here is what I can offer (which may be useful but may miss the mark in terms of urgency)

Also - I would consider the possibility of producing screen shot videos if your product can do a better job of showing your subscriber what to do rather than telling them...you can always bundle transcripts or summary sheets or checklists with each video to combine written material that is useful if you want. Just an idea.

jbsmith. yeah I'll create a separate page for it which will contain a video and below it will be written content, listing benefits for subscribing, further i'll also use paid advertising to give it initial boost. and i love ur idea. =D

The quality of the sales letter will determine the conversion rate. People want to acquire the benefits, they don't care so much about the form (ebook, videos, webinar etc).

The quality of the ebook will determine your credibility and thus your ability to profit from the list you have secured.

That is the main, gamechanging difference between a paid product and a freebie product. With a paid product, you get money regardless; but you really have to make sure a free product gives away top information if you want your subscribers to buy from you in the future. Bear that in mind.

Regardless of the product, it must be a killer offer, or the best sales letter/squeeze page will not sell it or bring targeted buyers. If you're doing an e-book. Could you read it and make an audio of it too? That will increase perceived value. Can you also throw in a checklist, or quick-start-guide? Then, once you have all of those, then it's easier to sell because the perceived value it greater. An e-book by it own, just is not appealing to most people. But if you ad an audio of it, video, etc, then selling/getting optins for it becomes much more easier.

    Be well,

    Lane

Give them something they can immediately take action on. Give them that feeling of 'wow' so they will be hungry for your paid stuff.

Just what the world needs is yet another short article on MMO/GRQ via SEO/WP billed as a "book"... Yikes.
