      Having an email marketing list, having a regular readership, having quality content, having an appealing website design, offering targeted affiliate programs to your readership all lead to developing wealth online. Websites may have differing leading sources of income. It would be interesting to do a study on this.

    A list is not the key. Targeted traffic is the "key." And there are plenty of online businesses that make a ton of money without a list, but without traffic they would earn nothing, and you would have no list.
