How to make your first commission ?

That is one way. For me I built some communities with regular users who grow my content and have thousands visiting daily. I don't even need a list, but it makes for an added payoff.

See, this is kind of where Internet Marketing frustrates me a little.

To promote the product, you need to say good things about it. You have to speak in somewhat of a positive manor or else why would someone buy it?

But what if someone bought the product through your link because of the extremely positive and helpful post you gave, only to find themselves not gaining any value from the product.

I feel guilty doing that. If I ever promote a product, I only do so if I have personal experiences with it. But, it's all down to a matter of opinion I suppose.

I agree with you Joe , you can be honest and give your personal input in specific product , and also you need to say the negative things

some people will buy the product , then don't do anything , and then they blame the product or you , but it not your fault.

You just guide them and then it up to them to take action an make it happen for them

What you can do is to upload the eBook to your Scribd ,and get the link for it .

Use the free product as something to get them to opt in to your newletter so that you can try to sell to them after they opt in.

For long term stability, get your own domain name and site. Then look for targeted traffic.

  I would suggest offering something on Fiverr. Search Fiverr to see what other people are selling that you could do a good job with. Although there are sellers on Fiverr that make quite a bit of money, the main reason I am suggesting this is because it will start to build your confidence that people are willing to pay you online for giving them value.
  
  In my opinion the faster you can get to a point where you are creating high quality products that solve people's problems, you can then start to build something that will pay you month after month. It all starts with that first sale.
  
  I know there are a million ways to make your first commission, but think Fiverr is a good place to get started.
