Info Products? Are They the Secret to a Steady Income?

I just realized that by selling info, your subscribers really have no reason to NOT come back and buy again. As long as the info you are selling is useful, then they have no reason to opt-out. So how do you sell info? Certainly there is much more to it then selling worthless e-books...

You will soon realize that EVEN if they have absolutely have no reason to opt out of you list and EVEN if you give out top notch info some of them WILL opt out of your list...

Concentrate your efforts on the subscribers that remain on your list and never quit adding new subscribers.

    hope this help!

Correct. A lot of the better marketers will tell you that unless you are getting some unsubscribes, you are not marketing hard enough.

To me this is common sense. In fact you should want to weed out your list from time to time IMO. Because if people are leaving maybe you can send out an survey email to find out how you can improve. If nobody leaves and nobody buys anything, whats the point?

          Spot on.

I can't remember which celebrity it was (a very well known one) but they basically said they either want people to hate them with a passion or like them with a passion. They don't want any people undecided or without a strong opinion either way. You can never please everybody so if you have people either hate you or like you then you are doing your job right.

It depends on what the info is.

I think creating membership site is the way to securing a steady income.

In order to have repeat business, you must update the site with high quality products, compelling sales letter, professional graphics, incentives, blogs etc

    Hello nicolasmd2112,

It's VERY unlikely that you will get rich from one product - just not going to happen. This is why everyone is focusing on producing quality content - you need to do that continuously in order to make a solid to good living online.

Certainly, what butterballs8 suggests is a viable option - creating a membership site that you update REGULARLY in order to ensure you continue providing value based upon what you know about your target market, what their needs and wants are, and then supplying it to them.

As for subscribers, yes, you're going to lose some of them for any or all of the following reasons:

    - They're not interested in your content (may have been originally, but changed their mind)
    - They feel they're too busy to be receiving emails from you
    - They don't want to hear as often as you send out your emails
    - They want to hear from you more often than you send out your emails
    - They feel they're receiving too many emails in their inbox and decide to remove yours as part or all of their clean-up efforts
    - Etc.

The main point is that losing subscribers is inevitable. The main point is to serve the ones who stay with you and continue giving them value. I also agree with ReachOneMedia that you must always try to gain more subscribers while still providing value to the subscribers who have stayed with you.

Hope this helps - good luck!

If you provide help and don't "sell" to your subscribers, they will keep coming back.

There are many ways to deliver content to them other than an ebook. You can create a series of videos, or mp3 audio downloads. You can offer them to listen to your podcasts and deliver your info that way as well. You can even ship dvd's to them with your content if you'd like.

Listen to your subscribers, ask questions and deliver what they need and want.

The key to making a steady income online is to constantly provide your subscribers and site visitors with valuable content on a regular basis.

Try to become known as a guy who constantly produces top notch stuff that offers incredible value.

Yeah, a lot more. It starts with selling VALUABLE content, and that can include eBooks.

Generally, find a problem and provide a solution.

Try looking at it from the angle of helping people with their problems, rather than trying to make money. Help people who have real problems by providing helpful information and the income will come rolling in...

As for steady income... sure it can be, but so can CPA marketing, membership sites etc. Just depends on what you enjoy doing and/or what you have found to work best for you.

You need to provide VALUE for your subscribers and continue to do so. If you do this as well as entertaining your audience they will love you.

You must build a relationship with your list and sell them something of value. After building rapport with them, you will get an idea of their needs, wants and demands. Some 'guru's even send out surveys to their list.
When you build you list you should have a good idea of the demographics and psychographics of your market.
