Just an FYI, Regions Bank let their domain expire -

If you are a Regions customer, DO NOT attempt to use their Smartphone app, you will be transmitting your login information to whoever currently controls the domain.

As of right now regions.com is showing a parked page.

    Hey Ron,

Their page is showing O.K. for me, and their domain is registered up to 2023. Maybe you misread the expiry date?

Update. I just checked the site, both via direct type-in and search. The site comes up normally, not a parked page.

    From betterwhois.com:

whois.verisign-grs.com]Whois Server Version 2.0Domain names in the .com and .net domains can now be registered
with many different competing registrars. Go to InterNIC | The Internet's Network Information Center
for detailed information. Domain Name: REGIONS.COM
    Registrar: NETWORK SOLUTIONS, LLC.
    Whois Server: whois.networksolutions.com
    Referral URL: http://www.networksolutions.com/en_US/
    Name Server: NS1.REGIONS.COM
    Name Server: NS2.REGIONS.COM
    Status: clientTransferProhibited
    Updated Date: 15-apr-2013
    Creation Date: 13-apr-2000
Expiration Date: 13-apr-2023NOTICE: The expiration date displayed in this record is the date the
registrar's sponsorship of the domain name registration in the registry is
currently set to expire. This date does not necessarily reflect the expiration
date of the domain name registrant's agreement with the sponsoring
registrar. Users may consult the sponsoring registrar's Whois database to
view the registrar's reported date of expiration for this registration.
My guess is that the problem is in the app.

Www.regions.com was showing a cached page from the cdn and http://regions.com still shows the parked/expired page. No doubt they are scrambling to get everything back to normal. Looks like the domain has been renewed. Was down all day yesterday and still this morning hence the reason for my post. I am keeping an eye on it.

Looking at the whois data, I think you're correct.

Look at the creation date vs. the latest update date (April 13 creation vs. April 15 update). Looks like they won't have to worry about it for another ten years...
