Setting up aweber popup email capture box

I have a website Make Cragslist Cash which have a video on the home page.

What you suggest about setting up pop-up box that ask them for email in order to get free ebook ?

This system work's good for a website which have video on the main page ?

2nd question, for example the person stayed for xx amount of time and he/she is watching the video and the box pops up the video will be stopped ? or It'll be playing at the same time ?

    It would popup over the video...which would keep playing.

    Now, there may be some ways to code it so that doesn't happen, but it will be a little complex.

    Personally, I don't think that's a good idea...unless you time it to popup when the video finishes.

    It would annoy me if I'm trying to watch your video and a popup optin comes up.

      I agree with you. so you suggest to code this in a way when then video ends ?

      what do you suggest ? i need to create different squeez page to capture the emails or it's better to capture them on the sales page ?

      1) Sending traffic to squeeze page, list building. Then sending traffic to sales page

      2) Send all traffic to sales page inserting that code to still capture there email address.

      Which one is better ?

    Why not have the optin right below/beside the video? That's what I would do.
