Targeted Solo Ads?

In looking for solo ad providers, like in the IM niche, they don't appear to be very targeted or give you much of ANY information about their list and where and how the emails were obtained.

There are many sub niches in IM, people who opt in to lists to get a product on CPA are going to be a lot more targeted to send a solo ad to for a free CPA product, than a list built off of selling SEO products or whatever.

Though all the lists only say they are IM lists and it's very general. Are there sources of Solo Ad sellers who actually give specific info about their lists and what they are most targeted for?

    So basically, you are asking for solo ad sellers to send you the URL of their squeeze pages so you can verify targeting and also sign up to the lists so you can get a feel for the quality of the mail being sent out?

    Pretty simple - ask them provider.

    "Will your list like offer xyz?". It's in their best interest to give you an honest answer. If you don't get good results, you'll give a poor review, so the solo ad provider want you to succeed - their business depends upon it.

    I think you're over-analyzing. Do a test run with a smaller number of clicks first? I'd say you need 100+ clicks to get any meaningful results, but that would allow you to dip your toe in and find out what's what.

    The big problem is whether you squeeze page converts, and then further to that, whether you can convert them to sales. Getting the traffic is only the beginning, make sure you get good quality traffic - so ask what rate the solo ad provider is currently converting at to five you an idea of what to expect.

      If the sellers don't give you the answer you're looking for you either go ahead and test it and see if it converts well with what you are offering but many factors come into play i.e. what your squeeze page is like and what you're offering etc...

      There are people who segment there list very well and some who broadly send it i.e. buyers and freebies... etc but you'll just have to keep speaking to those to find out if they can send you the targeted traffic you're looking for.

      yes i agree iwth martin good post
      you just have too and should be asking every ad provider before you pay them
      how did you build your list
      what are the demographics of youre list western english speaking etc ask what software there using like if using click maximizer will they use scarcity level?
      always pays to ask your giving good money so don't waste it you could also post a thread on say safe swaps forum if you looking for specifics some lists respond better to plr products or hypey crap products or software ask around and good luck

    You'll tend to find that 90% of all Solo Ads are for the online make money niche and the vast majority of the solo ad sellers have pretty broad squeeze pages, so that they pull in as many subscribers/optins as they can, so their lists are pretty general really.

      It also depends on whether the list is SINGLE OPTIN or DOUBLE OPT IN.

    I like some of the advice I see here.

    First off, always check in with the provider first.
    Never buy, right of the sales page.
    Then run a small split test.. maybe even multiple small tests with the same provider
    (Working out your best optin page)

    Figure out which version you've created that works best.

    Then do a few small tests with your best opt-in variation with various providers.

    Once you have he best optin and the best provider, you're ready to scale up.

    It may sound like a hassle but it really isn't depending on what squeeze page tool you use, you can usually create a variation in minutes.

    And running multiple solos obviously doesn't take a lot of real time, but maybe a few days of elapsed time.

    But there's comfort in knowing you have your best op-tin running with your best provider.

    I think it's worth the effort.
