Better to sell one service on one site or...?

Okay, I am setting up a website on wordpress and selling some IM services.

I am also selling 3 types of services on one site so I am just wondering whether it is wise to do so. Does this looks like a "jack of all trades and master of none" types..

Or should I set up one service for one site each..
I would love to hear your opinions on these..

Also how about demanding payment upfront instead of using the "call for quote" or "contact for quote" method. I find that it is time consuming.
And from my experiences, when I want a logo made or other IM stuffs, I want the pricing on hand and also payments submitted early so that work can be started ASAP and not waiting on emails or contact etc.

  • If the services are related then there's no harm in offering multiple services.

As long as your price list does not look like this:

    Webdesign $1000
    Dog Walking $20
Fix Your car (Call for quote)
    Signature
Arnold Stolting - Stolting Media Group
"I LOVE The Song! The Vibe Is Positive And Firm!" - Kymani Marley. (Son of Bob Marley).

"Very High Quality!" Jeremy Harding - Manager / Producer. Sean Paul.
"They Are FANTASTIC!" - Willie Crawford.

LOL, The services I am offering are all related..
And I usually don't like to use "call for quote" or "contact for quote" while offering services. I like to put the prices upfront and also demand payments upfront.
      What do you think?

  • Yes putting prices usually gets my vote. I don't stick around websites that ask me to contact them for quotes either when I can easily go somewhere else that have prices listed.

You should mention which 3 services you are planning to offer on your one site if you want to get feedback in here on your question, because at this point people will have to guess what 3 services you are talking about.

Services offered will be basic SEO, Website Content and or Graphic Design.
Hmm... however I am thinking of leaving the SEO out as it is already too competitive.

You could leave SEO out of your service offerings if you think it's too competitive.
But if a potential SEO customer is already in your store, then consider the fact that if you don't have SEO on your price list, they will simply go somewhere else and throw money at another SEO provider. And that would be a shame wouldn't it.

    1. Offer them all on the one site.
    2. Get paid first.
    3. Give your customers choices and let their actions/decisions help guide your service offerings.

I agree if your services is related i don't think it should be a problem. you can also check what your competition is offering on the same site, and what works for them.

I think it is fine to advertise all of your services on one website as long as they are related. What about a content writing service as well?

Yep all on one site if they are related.
I agree with charging up front but sometimes you got to give to get.

If you want top notch paying clients you may have to do a proposal for them and demonstrate what you can offer that will be unique to them. It does take time but can also be very lucrative. Tip - keep it to a one page proposal and use a fill in the blank template adjusted to each client, such as ...Goal, Actions to Be Taken, etc.

If you are offering cookie cutter SEO then you can likely post prices and buy button up front.
