Revenue sharing with colleagues

Hi

Me and a few friends want to build a website together, we will each contribute towards the site in terms of content and technical maintenance etc. We'd like to share all the revenue made from ads etc equally between the four of us and would prefer this to be an automated process, rather than in going into one persons account, and then that person dividing and dishing it out. My question is, is there a system in existence that can do this sort of thing? Is there an simple way of setting it up, like software or something?

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks

It all depends on the payment processor you will be using to collect the funds and what features they have that allow this type of thing. For example Paypal has an adaptive payments feature that allows certain payments to automatically be split between people such as vendor and affiliates and this all happens automatically.

Thanks for your reply. This area is all new to me so I'm a bit confused as to where to look first.

I was going to just use Google ads to start off with, or there a better option?

Any links i can start researching this stuff, cos it's an area I'm not too clued up on.? Thanks

Well personally I think it will take you quite a long time to start earning any meaningful income from ads on your site --especially if it's a new site AND the revenue is going to be split 4 ways.

I would concentrate more on building a list from your website visitors and recommending products to them that way. Ads are ok to stick on a site but for the average website I think it should not be the main source of income.

Yes, that is one of my worries too.

Based on my own experience, if you can do it alone then better do it by yourself. I know several revenue sharing sites that closed recently due to a number of reasons I can't enumerate.
