Cheapest Way to Accept Phone Orders?

I've heard that if you can accept phone orders, you can multiply your conversions.

What is the best way to go about doing this? IS there a way it can be automated or do you always have to hire someone?

PayPal Pro lets you do that and key them in. Also, I have a program called checkman and it lets me take checks over the phone and print them without any fee at all....very easy to do.

SO PayPalPro would let me have a whole automated system wher people can call in and hear a recording and enter their email and everything? and then it sends them the file??

Ohhh wait I think you mean where you have to manually do them .. that would still mean i'd have to answer the phone, right?

You did not ask about automated, had I known that I would not have replied with that info.....I have thought about using an answering service and giving them access to my virtual terminal in payPal Pro. That would let them answer the phone and enter the payment details.

Other than that, I am sorry I have nothing to offer but will be watching for others to answer.
