Has anybody ever lost his YouTube channel because banned from Google AdSense?

I have a YouTube channel with tons of videos I created. I get what I consider to be a good number of views every day.

Because of that, I stay away from using Google AdSense. I'm afraid if I did something Google doesn't like, that getting banned would also get my YouTube channel in jeopardy.

Am I wrong in thinking that?

So, are you not already earning money from the Youtube partner programme?

About a year ago, I lost my google adsense account due to clickboming and it was associated with my old youtube channel.

I had to make a new channel and I'm partnered with a network now, so I'm earning money off their ads instead of adsense.

Thanks for the info, I'll try to keep that in mind. Just a question: what do you mean by clickboming ?

If people don't like you being competition to them or for whatever reason, they can use a program that massively clicks your adsense links from the same IP and ban your account.

Back when I was using autoblogs with adsense, I was running pretty close with another competitor for certain keywords on page 1 and I assume the webmaster of that site did it, but I have no proof. It not only cost me the adsense ads for my autoblogs, but my old youtube account as well.

I plan to get another adsense account under my business name and will invest in click protection. Just make sure you're aware of the dangers of clickbombing.

Thanks to your feedback, I did some research on the subject of click bombing, not thorough, it looks like we can't protect ourselves easily or at all, instead, if it's AdSense, we need to move fast in telling Google if we see we've been bombed.

I'm curious to know what are the ways you found for protection. I use self-hosted WordPress. Are there plug-ins ?

I think there are some, but I can't remember them off hand.

I tried to appeal to google when it happened, but lost because my web logs weren't able to properly log the clickbombing actions. Definitely make sure you also look into how to maintain web logs regarding visitor traffic. I wish I knew how back then.

                Philippe,

I was clickbombed a few years back and I was able to show Google unusual traffic from various IP's with the default stats on Dreamhost.

They eventually restored my account but confiscated all my earnings. Haven't used Adsense since.

Sorry to hear that, Martin. Somehow, I'm not surprised, with the horror stories we hear about Google.

                  Dreamhost is a hosting company?

I remember a couple months ago, a few of my team members and I got spanked, shut down and suspended on YT because there was a hater-troll going around doing as trolls do and flag all of our value-rich, content-filled videos!

YT immediately took action against all of us, no if and or buts about it. Those who barely survived the YT onslaught had to watch what they put into the video title and paste disclaimers all over the description space.

What a headache... Good thing there's always other video sites to utilize such as Daily Motion.
