What did you do today in your business?

Well I'm sat on the bed tapping away on the laptop, and have just looked back at what I have done in my new business today.....

My time is limited due to other work commitments so I have to make the most of it, and ensure I get as much pulled in each day as possible, so I always like to go over what I have done and see if it's all that I set out to do (if that makes sense!)

I have been playing around with Optimize Press a little more (recent purchase LOL) and have built not one but TWO squeeze pages! So I'm pretty pleased about that.

I've loaded in my new product that I have created, including images etc, customised the webform and pasted in the HTML code from Aweber.

All this is linked to several signatures across forums / email etc to spread the message.

Linked it to my download page for the free product and written a short sequence of 4 follow up emails in Aweber to finish the whole thing off.

I know that for many out there in the IM world, this is easy stuff, but for me who is still getting their teeth into it all, it's still hard going.

My point is though is this........

Setting up the techno stuff is bloody hard going to begin with, as there is a learning curve for those of us like me! BUT......

Once you have learned it, you can do it over and over again, and the more you do it the faster you get.

I used to really shy away from all this stuff and search for the "Easy Money Systems" in the hope that they would do it all for me (they don't BTW!)

When I finally came to that realisation, I had no choice but to roll up my sleeves and get elbow deep into all the "techno grease" till I eventually knew what I was doing! In other words I had to LEARN how to do it myself.

But if I can do it, ANYONE can! Trust me when I say that too!

Hope this inspires al the newbies out there to roll their sleeves up too!

So what did you do in your business today??

Best Regards,

Andy Benson

The only thing accomplished so far today was securing an offline client and getting payment. Now I have to do the work. It's a good thing my day is just beginning.

It sounds like you got a lot done. At first that stuff takes forever to figure out but thank God for the warrior forum and Youtube to move this business along quicker.

Many thanks for your comments Michael. Yeah what would we do without the WF and YT??!! People forget what a HUGE resource these two sites are when starting out!

Well done on securing your client too!

I always focus on 2 activities on a daily basis.

    1) Have I sent any email to my list today that provide good content or recommending good resources?

    2) Have I taken any action today that help to grow my list?

These are the 2 questions that I would always ask myself daily.

I am taken a day off today. Need some rest. But I still need to answer my emails. Not to do this might be too costly.

Accomplishing worthwhile things everyday is easier when you do what you like best and outsource the rest. I enjoy working everyday and really do accomplish a lot everyday between 5:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. The rest of the day I manage my business part time and let other people do the work.

I am a big fan of outsourcing but you also have to dive in as much as you can so you truly know what you are capable of.

There is a time when we need to bring in others and in the long run will save us time as well as money.

If you are really getting good at techy things and anyone else reading this..you can build your empire just on Simple How To Videos alone.

You would be surprised what may be basic to us is a huge P.I.T.A.(pain in the butt) to someone else.

That could lead to many more profitable opportunities down the road as well. List building, coaching, service, unique products etc.

Many thanks for your input Art! I agree with you there...it's easy to take for granted all the things we may NOW be able to do, and forget how hard it was at the beginning and how any help, advice, "how to" stuff etc was so gratefully received and NEEDED!

That's why I try to make a point of posting as much info on what and HOW I am doing things here for others to pick up on.

    Hey All...

Great post. I tend to accomplish most of my work in the morning. This is due to my personality and schedule.

    Today I have:

    - given instructions to a couple of outsourcers
    - written 3 blog posts
    - resolved a customer issue
    - submitted a new book for Kindle publication

Taking a quick break now. Then I'll go for a quick walk before coming back and spending another solid 2 hours on work.

Today I purchased another solo ad, checked my stats and talked by phone to a business associate and helped them solve a problem they were having with their site
