Of course. Just ask Dan Kennedy or any other well-known copy writer or advertising writer These guys and gals can (and do) make thousands.

As to what would be the going fee...that's impossible to answer. That's like asking what could you make if you were the next American Idol winner. You can make what the market is willing to pay for your talent.

If this is something you are passionate about and good at, I would just put together a service and offer it up and see how it flies. I will say this, however, most IMer's probably aren't going to pay for someone strictly to create headlines and slogans, and big companies won't hire you either until you've proven yourself.
