How To Create a PROFITABLE Info Product in an Hour (Even if you are a Newbie)

The fastest way to create a product, even if you know NOTHING about the subject, is to Interview somebody who does

Some people say that that Interview products don't work

I disagree.

I think that Interview products, done correctly, rock

I will give you an example in one MY Niches ... MLM

I saw one of my friends posting on Facebook that she had sponsored 97 people into her MLM in two days. Now most people in MLM don't sponsor 3 people in a lifetime so sponsoring 97 in two days is pretty damn good

So I sent her a Facebook PM and asked if I could interview her. Since we are already friends she agreed but even if we weren't most people will agree to an interview if you ask them correctly.

So then I went on facebook and posted this:

Hey Guys, on Friday I'm going to be Interviewing my Friend Diane on how she sponsored 97 people into her business in two days. I need some good questions to ask her. What would you like to know? I'm going to be making the interview into a product and selling it but anybody who gives me a good question gets a copy of the recording for free

I got a ton of questions, many of which I wouldn't have thought of myself.

I got a conference line through FreeConferencing.com (You can also use Skype and the MP3 Skype Recorder)

We did the Interview. I asked her the questions the people gave me plus some of my own

I created a little optin form hosted by Aweber (Didn't even need a web page) which brought them to the recording hosted by FreeConferencing.com (didn't need any of my own bandwidth)

The headline on the Optin form was "How an Average Housewife from Connecticut Sponsored 97 People into her Business in Two Days"

It was NOT ... "An Interview with My Friend Diane" (do u see the difference?)

I sent a link to the people that had given me questions. Most of them opted in. A Couple complained so I just sent them a direct link to the recording. (Both of them later Opted in to get OTHER Interviews)

I then posted on Facebook "Hey Guys I just finished Interviewing my friend Diane about how she enrolled 97 people into her business in Two Days. If you want to listen to the interview go here: <Link>

I posted this on my timeline a couple of times and a couple of MLM groups on Facebook. Got a couple of hundred Optins

I DID NOT offer the option to Download the MP3 (they could only listen online)

I DID NOT have it transcribed (that will be part of a paid product)

I then posted on Facebook - "Hey Guys ... I'm putting together a series of interviews with Successful MLM'ers. Who would you like to hear from?" Got a ton of suggestions and working my way through that list

I plan to package the Interviews and sell them cheap as part of the "How To MLM Master Series" I'll probably sell them for under $10 for 5 Mp3's. I may add the Transcripts as an Upsell Where else can you hear tips and techniques from 5 top performers in your niche for under $10? I already polled my list (the one I built with the Interviews) and they can't wait to buy them

Added Benefit - Getting to meet many cool people in my niche

IMPORTANT: The Interview product MUST be positioned as a Solution and Not an Interview. "How an Average Housewife from Connecticut Sponsored 97 People into her Business in Two Days" NOT "An Interview with My Friend Diane"

this can easily be adapted to the IM Niche

" How Joe Built a list of 10,397 in 30 Days" (NOT "An Interview with Joe")

" How Mary Earned $3,530 in 7 Days Selling Kindle Books"

etc etc

Find somebody that's accomplished something .. and interview them. Offer the transcripts as an upsell

Do a FREE WSO .. or a paid one

at the every least its an Awesome Way to build a list

      It may depend on the Niche but I have never paid for an
      Interview

      Most people are happy for the Exposure

        I done similar interviews before. I been interviewed as well. But the purpose was to train down-line, not to sell the interview it self. Works good.

    Thanks Jack for a very informative thread.

    You could have made this into a PDF or video and sold this as a WSO since it contains more useful info than at least 50% of them being sold nowadays.

    Great idea Jack!

    I'm not usually one that subscribes to "quick" product creation, because I feel that often times that the energy and effort put into the product doesn't pay off for the buyer/user. However, offering expert interviews from people who really have done well in their niche is a great way to provide value, and I can see that it can really be the basis of a quality product.
