Help with this plugin for WP?

Hello,

I am using the plugin 'secure form mailer' for a site of mine:

http://www.merseyhomebuyers.co.uk/?page_id=60

And the plugin is great except i have an issue.When you edit the form to customise from a normal 'contact form' its functionaility is effected and although it looks correct on the site it does not send the form through to my inbox.Is anybody familiar with this plugin or know an alternative i could use?

      Thanks for the reply, i have checked out the troubleshooting previously with no luck, i have also e-mailed the creater of the plugin and got no reply.

    Did the script work before you modified the form, i.e. "straight out of the box"?

    It is normally something to do with the mailer/mail account.

      yes it works with the 'out of the box' contacnt form, even on that site the contact form works

    I have tried the form - no joy, obviously - but it does not even return to a "thank-you" - I would suggest loading the default options again (link at bottom of settings) & test it by modifying one bit at a time.

    I use it on a few sites, without problem - and have an alternative if all else fails.

    Yes thats exactly what happens it does not return thankyou message, i'll modify it bit by bit and let you know how it goes.

    If you are having this much trouble ditch it and get a more reliable one. There are so many around that work straight away why keep bashing your head against a brick wall.

    "More reliable" than Dagon? That's an odd use of the English language.

    It's actually a great script. Make sure that the send method you specified is actually usable on your server would be my first guess from the information here.

    One thing I want to intergect here though is that when it comes to this particular aspect of plugin selection one should NEVER siply grab a plugin and go.

    the VAST majority of form mailing plugins do zero sanity/security checking. Dagon, the one the OP is using here, is one of the very few that does.

    Unless you want to open yourself to JSS/XSS hacking and or having your form co-opted as a spam mass mailer, make sure that whatever plugin you use is secure.
