Hi.,

What factor should I consider before writing a guest post. I mean factors like page rank, indexed pages, etc... I am not sure which factor can be helpful or guest blogs and which factor can harm serp? Please guide. I want to write guest blogs.

Thanks

If you are new to guest posting and don't have a track record. Post to any site that will take your guest posts.

You need to be able to show the better blogs that you have been published and show examples of your posts.

I have seen so many new guest blog posters think that they should only post to the top blogs. Guess what? They end up not getting any guest posts published.

So in the beginning, just find blogs that will take your posts as a newbie. Also make sure you are linking in your guest blog posts to an informative site and not just a squeeze page. Big time blogs are going to review what you are linking to to make sure their readers will benefit from it.

Why don't you just start your own blog first?

Make a dozen or so good articles on your niche subject.

Open up a few social media accounts also branded on the subject. For example, a squidoo lens with your original content pointing back to your blog.

A linkedIn profile can help with credibility too. Put your experience as a blogger down. Also, post examples of your articles.

Other websites are more likely going to accept your guest post if you have demonstrated you can write and already have stuff out there online. Even if it is 'self-published.' It stills shows your serious.
