What Are Customer's Really Worth? Really, have you ever thought about it?

I have been pondering this question a lot in these past few days why?, because I have been having to deal with some customer service issue, no customers of mine but with me being the customer.

Back on April 4th 2013 I purchased a course from marketer A that cost $97...I learned about marketer A from another very trusted marketer I have followed for years. So I figured hey my $97 with Marketer A would be safe and probably well invested.

Long story short, to date I am waiting on the delivery of the said $97 product from marketer A, oh I have access to it just not the full function access as promised in the sales page.

I bought the product after a webinar of Marketer A...iN the webinar he sounded so convincing with a smooth sounding and caring voice, saying he himself had been screwed many times in his marketing experience, so hey you figure, I can trust this guy.

Also on this webinar this guy bragged about his support desk and how they respond very quickly to issues...I have been dealing with and waiting for a decent response from his support group for over two weeks.

I am now in a dispute with this A Hole in PayPal, oh that got his attention...If need be I will be taking his ass to court...

But Willie it's only $97, yeah but it's my $97 damn it...I will not give this marketer's name cause I don't roll like that...I believe he will get his desserts...Sadly even if he fixes the problem I don't know that I would care to recommend him to anyone, so how he's gonna like them apples?

Now on the contrary...

I had another issue with a marketer, and this marketer has been around for years he is in my opinion a legend and after my recent experience with him I'll go as far as to call him a one of a kind CLASS ACT...

I am speaking of no other than Marlon Sanders an Internet Marketing Pioneer...

A few years back I had bought some of Marlon's product's and early this year i purchased some other things form him, cause he has got some great stuff...

I guess Marlon must have changed his member product site and somehow one of my paid for product's got lost in transition...

So last week, April 17th 2013 I turned in a support ticket...

Two day's went by, then 3 and finally 6 days had passed and I had not heard anything back, well I knew that is not the way Marlon Sanders does business...SO I retried and finally left a message on his own personal desk that he tells you to do if you have not resolved your issue...

This morning April 24th 2013 I got a personal call from Marlon Sanders apologizing for the delay and issue I was having, then he said that he personally looked at and fixed the problem AND when I logged into my account I had 2 NEW additional products in my account as bonuses, he said to make up for my trouble...

Now compare the two above stories and tell me which marketer you'd prefer to do business with in the future and which you would not hesitate to recommend to others?

When we are conducting business on or offline with people we are, whether we know it or not, leaving a paper trail so to speak...

How we treat others will follow us, to our good or to our bad...

Bad's news travels much faster and farther than good news any day...

I called Marlon and thanked him and told him I would be sharing my experience with him, on forums...People need to know that there are still a few decent class acting marketer's out there that care about more than making the almighty and fast dollar...

They care about their customers...

Marlon is one of the good guys in my book, I learned a lot of from him in the "early days".

Learned that lesson many years back from personal experience from a Dan Kennedy product I had refunded, he definitely practices what he preaches - Treat your customer list like gold. Did I buy from him again? Yes I did. Would I have any reservations about doing business with him again? No I wouldn't.

Some other marketers leave a bad taste in your mouth after doing business with them and I would have to be hard pressed to ever do business with them again, nothing to do with the product, but with their customer service.

And yes, BTW Marlon Sanders customer service is excellent. I remember having trouble logging in to one of his membership sites about a decade ago and the response to my ticket was so fast I thought it was an "canned" autoresponder response to the ticket. Lo and behold it was Marlon himself that corrected the problem, must've been the wee hours of the morning where he lived, unless it was sent from a foreign country.

Yup, treat your CUSTOMER list like gold. It's easier to resell to a satisfied customer than it is to try and generate a new one.
