    I'm not certain I understand exactly what you're asking.

    But ...

    If you're the vendor and wondering what's going to sell most copies of the product, you wouldn't be putting it on an affiliate network without having tested, fine-tuned and proven the conversions of targeted traffic, anyway.

    There's no point in putting time/effort/energy/money into recruiting affiliates until you're sure you're going to be able to retain them. So you need to know that the sales process will convert their targeted traffic before trying to bring them on board. Very important to do that the right way round, because you won't get many of them back if you lose them.
