What Is The Most Popular Niche?

Hey folks, I'm developing a niche based product/service to help take the load off of internet marketers and I'm wondering what the top 4 or 5 niches are right now. The answers might be obvious but I thought I'd ask people to post their niche just to see if I'd be surprised by the answers. Not asking anyone to give a way their micro niche or anything, just the market really. IE weight loss, real estate, etc.

I don't think you'll get an answer. Go to Google Hot Trends or other "trend" tools to research it yourself. Good luck.

One of the tool I use when I'm doing niche research is Big-Boards. Big-Boards tracks the most active message boards and forums on the web. This is a great source for niche research.

* Anything on self-improvement would be a good choice, although that does leave you with a huge market.
* With the slump in the World's economy, perhaps how to make money on line would be a good option.

That a really difficult question to answer, because it depends on what aspect your coming from-are you talking $spent per month, search volumes, level of customer interst, etc ..... Each criteria would reveal a bit of variation in the answer.....

Also if your talking short term, medium term or long term ot niches

Google trends will reveal the exact short term trends in hot niches, but most cannot be monetized as they dissapear befor you can get traffic....

On a keyword basis - finance is huge, consumer electronics, health, hobbies(especially gaming hobbies) weddings and engagements, gifts , real estate, weight loss etc etc

I would think:

saving home from foreclosure (Real Estate)
make money
weightloss
sex (they say that online sites in this category do good in down economy because people want fantasy in bad times, they don't want to face reality).

making money online, weight loss, recession/foreclosure, and then dating/sex are definitely the top 4.

After that, you'd probably find some disagreement, but I think education would be the next biggest. With the economy as bad as it is, many people are going back to college, or looking harder for scholarships, and if they're not doing that, they are investing in job training so that they can keep their job.
