Using this technique http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...step-step.html

I found out 2 Keywords:
Keyword 1 Has 1000 monthly search with "7670" competing websites when I did a search at Google.com with quotes (")

Keyword 2 Has 1000 monthly search with "7130" competing websites when I did a search at Google.com with quotes (")

So which one should I target?

Why do you want to choose either, or? What is wrong with going after both of them?

You didn't say if they are both in the same niche or not. You didn't say if you plan on producing articles to generate traffic or if you will build a web site, or what. All of these things MAY have an impact on the answer. But you found a couple of jems, so pick up both of them, don't just pick up one of them.

They are both so close in competition I'm with Tim - pick one to start with and follow it up with a site targeting the second! Think win-win.

I would rather chose the one who has highest competitors because this will serve as your challenge in creating nice product review so that you will be on top of Google Search Engine. And also if you want to be on top your must be able to come up with the nice articles of each products you are selling.

There's not much difference between the 2 in terms of competition. A few hundred is nothing. I would figure out which of the two is more likely to be a search term that people ready to buy would use. Keywords shake out into 2 basic camps: people still investigating; people ready to buy. If one of the keywords you've got there seems more like what a ready-to-buy'er would use, go for it.

I would use Site Explorer - Yahoo! Site Explorer to see how many back links the competition has each keyword phase. Mainly the site on page 1 of Google. Then I would start working with the keyword phrase where the competition has the least backlinks. It with some link building you may have a better change to make Google Page 1.
