where to start???

hi again

thanks to those who replied to my last post, after a few more hour searching different possibility's for my I'M venture I am still none the wiser where to start lol.
I now have a domain name a few ideas for my website which I have decided in the main will be sourcing much of it when I am ready. in the mean time I just wondered where would be a good place to start where I can generate some income without a product to sell.. I'm not thinking $1000 or anything just something simple I can get my head around that might get me $20-$50 a week or month whatever I'm not sure much worried about the amount I am more interested in understanding the process.
I keep reading about how others have made millions which I great, but they all offer training quoting things like " I made mistakes, you don't have too" " I can show you everything Ive learned in 20 years experience condensed into 5 hours "

In my mind I don't think you can learn anything properly without gaining the experience good and bad.

I like the idea of selling other peoples products for a small % but don't understand fully how this works?

    That is called CPA / Affiliate Marketing.

    You need to spend some time looking around. You will find a way start out making $10, 50, $100 a week and go on from there. If somebody promises a system that will make you $1,000 a day for $47, keep your credit card in your wallet until you get to your favorite restaurant or watering hole. They wouldn't be selling something for peanuts when they could be working their $1,000 a day system, or paying some outsourcing company $400 a month to work the $1,000 a day system.

    I don`t know if you are on a low budget or not,but I will definetly urge you to sign up to a good autresponder service. (there is different alternatives,I use Aweber myself).No matter what type of site you plan to build,you are missing out of a lot of money if you don`t capture the leads.

    Learn the basics on how to drive traffic to your site.
    You can stuff your head with all the info in the world,but if you don`t take action,you will never learn this "game".

    Be consistent. Many newbies seem to read a lot of "guru" material in a short time and jump from method to method.Find a good and proven method and stick with it.

      If you find someone who's a millionaire and explain on their website that they can teach their 20 years of experience in just five hours, well then it's very understandable that they became millionaire because they were great advertisers too. Meanwhile as they lure people and pay on their service, well good for them. Just hoping you are not one of them.

    You mention you have a domain name. Your domain name should be an indication of what you want to sell. To make money online you have to sell something, whether it is information,products or membership. The correct way to start is to choose something that people are already buying. It is hard work trying to sell something nobody is even searching for.
    When you have chosen what you want to sell do some keyword research and choose a domain name based on those keywords. Foe hosting I usually use Hostgator as I have found that it has the easiest cpanel.
    Instal Wordpress and select a theme then build your site.
    You can google for instructions on how to do each of these steps.There are PDFs and videos for almost anything you want to learn.
    I do think it is a good idea to study a course from someone who has already put it together. I suggest here would be a good place to start. Forever Affiliate Video Course
