Hi,
Here is the scenario...

My main website covers the USA region and keywords....

Now what I want to do is to make separate websites for more regions but maintain that under one roof... for example...

http://www.mywebsite.com/UK/

http://www.mywebsite.com/China/

http://www.mywebsite.com/Australia/

http://www.mywebsite.com/Canada/

Someone please help....

I think you have options in the webmasters tools to tell Google the intended location of visitors to your site. If you do that you may not need geographical TLDs like .de .uk etc...

Make a separate subdomain for each geographical region and then tell separate subdomain for separate region in Webmaster tools.

Thanks for the Replies... But there is no question of Google or something related to search engine...

The question is how to make multiple websites with wordpress and how to manage multiple websites from 1 admin panel...

I don't think you can manage multiple websites from 1 admin panel.

Do you want to make people able to select the location such as UK, China, Australia or Canada from the home page?

    I would use: eg: site.com/de/, site.com/fr/, etc.
I woudn't recommend that you get .uk .au etc. because it's expensive.
    Read this:
    googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2010/03/working-with-multi-regional-websites.html

    The other BIG problem:
    1. Duplicate content.

From SEO & Google point of view it's a complete nonsense.

Concerning the wordpress... I believe you can do that with .HTACCESS

You might want to Google it or hire a network administrator

Thanks for reply, the problem is still at the same place... I mean I need a wordpress solution to do this job... Not an SEO Solution and not any subdomains...

I have found that WPMU or Wordpress Multisite can do the job...

      Anyone have experience with this...

      Regards

Setting up a multisite in in wordpress is easy. Just add the line "define( 'WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE', true );" to the wp-config.php file.

Then visit the wordpress admin panel and go into the tools menu and you will see a new "Network" option. There you can configure the multiste as either subdirectories or subdomains.

Wordpress will give you some lines that should be added to the wp-config.php and .htaccess files.

        Thats it.

I just can't imagine that it's that simple... You are my man Frode D... The explanation worked like a charm....

You could make it in PHP so there wouldn't be any duplicate content, that way it would all be on the same page as well.
