Need Help, advice, suggestions, opinions! ASAP!

Hi all,

I would kindly need all your opinions and suggestions for about one of my projects: Freelance Marketplace

It all started long time ago from another project of mine that worked well but kinda impossible to apply the idea of "donations" due to paypal and all other payment processors (at that time) that applied and understood the idea of donations as a mode of raising fonds ONLY. Anyways here's my old thread about my old project:
http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ions-asap.html

So... for a long time i wanted to build a place where freelancers could sell their own work for free without the need to wait nor to pay commissions.

Well, i'm still working on it but for now some things are sure: on DEXTERr you can ask and receive payments directly to your PayPal account (currently working on PayZa and Skrill) , always if the buyer accepts it.
If not they can still buy through DEXTERr and you'll have to wait for the buyer to accept your work after that you will receive your earnings in 24 hours - less the paypal transfer fees...

- Is the simple 7$ fixed price ok? (i like to keep things simple as you can always have ad EXTRAs to your job to increase revenue)

Any ideas and suggestion are most then welcomed! Planning to keep this thread as opened as possible and will do my best to listen and apply where possible. Thanks!

Include a ranking system or a feedback. Those boost your appeal among buyers. The more buyers you get, the more sellers you'll get.

The system itself already has a ranking system based on the buyer feedback through the system. I was thinking to ad another independent rating and feedback system for every job but with two... i don't know... doable though

      Thank you, appreciated!

The fixed price seems OK, except there are 3 things:

    1. $7 is very low for a project, unless it is a micro project.
    2. It seems this is a lot like fivver if you have a fixed price. In that case
    3. You are more expensive so why would people choose your site and not fiverr?

I don't mean this in mean way, just asking to know that $7 is OK and also maybe help yuo make sure you stand out.

Hasn't this been done to death? Fiverr, Tenerr, all that?

You need feedback, and you need to be able to have a system in place to mediate between buyers and seller in the instance of problems. I hope you know what you're getting yourself in for!

I mean, good luck, and the site looks pretty good, just make sure you have your ass covered!!!

I think $7 is a bit limiting. I mean, what is the benefit of Dexterr over fiverr? What is your unique selling point? What part of the market are you trying to capture?

I think fiverr caters for this level of budget, so you need to find another one, or find some way to make this add value, or stack up projects so people can get paid well, and therefore do a good and proper job.

You are very right but also this is the buyers choice, this is why i have limited the job price to $7 as a seller can add extras with a higher price.

And about fraud, seller can fraud yes but this can also be done without the site support cause he has to create his own paypal/bitcoin buttons... only once a seller has his own paypal button unique ID he ca ask for payment.

Payments done through site are covered and refunded in case of issues, but those to the seller are not and buyer is warned very clearly about it, also external payments are fixed to the value of a job without extras.
      ---

Should i increase the job price? ...or should i lower it?

Currently i'm looking for good authors and invite anyone who want to post valuable jobs.

The site is FREE with Role Based Ranks and you can ask for direct payments without problems, it is up to you and your trust in front of your clients.
