My website went down 2 days and the keywords start dropping like crazy

Obviously I am in the middle of finding a new host as 2 days is completely unacceptable, I had a website with 22 keywords all ranked between 1-10 on google with many between 1-3 position, what happens after the site is down for 2 days? All my keywords start disappearing out of the top 10 on page 2 and 3, traffice to my site has pretty much cut by 90%

If anyone can reccomend me a good offshore host with completely reliable uptime I would appreciate it very much

I really hope I don't have to put all the work in again to rank my kws, very frustrating all together as things were just starting to really get going for me IM wise

    Quit panicking.

2 days is nothing and will have no impact on your rankings.

Sadly this is also a reason I don't rely on rankings for income. Not only can Google move the goal posts whenever they want but the hosting company has even managed to have an effect, though I can't see why after two days and they'd chuck your keywords down.

May I ask what you did to rank those keywords?

I also don't think that will effect your rankings. If they drop now, maybe it's the Google dance, maybe it's the fact that others now offer more "quality" for that topic - what you can do:
    add more content :-)
Do not ever rely on someone else when you have a business and better you do not rely on Google because you never know what they do next.
In any case, I wouldn't panic, all will turn out fine again

PS: recently read an article from spencer hawk's niche site study on nichepursuit.com that he lost rankings when he added too many affiliate links. maybe you did something like that? just guessing to help

You need to have something a little more resilient, and pay for it if you want to stop something like this.

I can't see that this will impact your rankings, they will come back I'm sure.

Any SEO is a bit of a waste of time, too slow, and too unpredictable to base a business upon. Just a little tip if you need it

Whatever reasons, 2 days in a row of downtime is really unacceptable. Even if it's not for ranking or SEO, it's wise to have the site online as long as possible with less downtime.

Does you just have this downtime? What is resolution from your current host?

For offshore, I'd recommend KnownSRV as I've used them with good uptime as well as the speed.

I just wanna tell you that most of the links in the signature are trash and/or a trap to make you pay!

Just be patient and see if this continues,
If it does its time to hire a proven professional.
