Complete beginner, need some questions answered please

Hi,


So I was looking at the completed websites section, and alot of people are selling adsense ready websites, authority websites, etc. which all look pretty promising, but what else needs to be done? I'm sure you cant just buy the site, then apply to adsense and start making money.

What are the additional steps to start earning the $1000s/month ?

Please bare with me as I'm new to this and dont know all the correct terminology.

    Two initial things:

    1. The domain name must be transferred

    2. You need a hosting account and the ability to upload to your server.

      Far more important and far more work is getting your site in front of people who will click your links. In other words, you need to a lot of search engine optimization and that requires excellent and varied back links.

      Before you buy any site, Google (or Bing or Yahoo, whichever search engine you're targeting) the main keywords for the site. Can you beat anyone on the first page? Because nothing else matters if you can't.

      It's why I got out of the Adsense game and into blogging instead. The money's in the list.

    I understand that, but I meant what else needs to be done to make the money? Or is it really just as simple as buying a premium website, applying for adsense, then making money right away?

    Hey!

    For starters you need to get your site exposed to your target audience either by driving traffic with ads (Could be expensive and you'll need to watch your Earnings Per Click to make sure you're not throwing money out the window) or get it ranked in Google using Search Engine Optimization. (A long and time consuming task)

    There are easier, free ways to generate traffic, but in most cases the traffic won't be targeted enough to generate any serious income with adsense.

    My suggestion is to look around. Use the search bar. Find people in those threads that have had success and ask what their process was. Being new is ripe for dumping money on all kinds of stuff.
    So research. You will need targeted traffic. Good traffic. The site transfer details will be easier then the traffic for you. So you will want to learn about traffic.

    You will need to get traffic to the site

    If the offer is a good one you will get a guide or service included to get traffic and visitors that are targeted to your site

    If you want Organic Search engine traffic you may need to do some backlinking

    If you want instant traffic you can use social media, and forums to get fast traffic

    Always look for a seller who has some good reviews and offers a good price with good quality sites

    Have you ever considered membership websites? They can offer you a steadier stream of income than adsense-based sites. Different business model but it's one that YOU control and not Google. Remember, Google can pull your adsense account at anytime without notice and POOF! There goes your income stream!

    You will need to use SEO and other methods to get people to visit the site.

    So make sure that what you buy is of interest to you, and you understand who the visitor would be.

    The website accounts for about 10% of whats needed to make money online. If you dont know the other 90%, then either get yourself a coach, or keep your money.

    Otherwise you're just going to waste it.
