Hi, The subject heading says it all. I was just wondering if anybody had created a useful swipe file (apart from Yanik Silvers) or if there was an ebook on the subject. Many thanks Gary |

Here would be my recommendation: 1) Sign-up to the e-mail lists of all the top copywriters (like Jay White, above). and 2) Sign-up to the e-mail lists of the people in your niche who have successfully sold a lot of stuff through e-mail. You can then study these e-mails and use them as swipes when you write your own autoresponder messages. After a few weeks, you will be able to instantly pull-up swipes from any of the top marketers in a matter of seconds simply by using the "search" function in your e-mail service. For example, if I am stumped for a subject line, I can just search through my e-mail for the word "Kern" and I will immediately see all of the subject lines that Frank Kern has used in his autoresponder messages. (This is possible because I've been a subscriber to Frank's list for many months now and I've never deleted any of his e-mails). If your e-mail service does not have a "search" function or if your inbox is too small to save a lot of e-mails, I would recommend switching to Gmail immediately. Hope this helps, James |

Hi Jay Thanks very much ![]() James, great advice. I have started doing that. It is going to take quite a while to build up a varied sample of sequential messages but it will be a valuable exercise. I have aboslutley no intention of stealng anybody elses messages but as a matter of interest, I was wondering how much are email messages protected by copyright? Best wishes Gary |

aclacy--it's actually both. And a LOT more. Check out my sig for more info and a free video that can immediately improve your emails and autoresponders. Gary and Billy--"swiping" an email is different from stealing UNLESS you simply copy and paste everything. What you're looking for here is the structure, the theme, the idea. See how it flows and the rhythm is has (yes, a good email has rhythm). Look at the places that really grab you and engage your attention. Then apply that same basic blueprint to your emails. Frank's got great stuff--I subscribe myself--as does Jeff Walker and Matt Furey. They don't necessarily coincide with my method but we do overlap a little in the way use personality and relationship building processes in our writings What I've done with Email Copy Made Easy is tried to make email and autoresponder writing as plug-and-play easy as possible, i.e. "here's what to do in your subject line"..."here's how to write a good opener"..."here's how you craft a compelling story"...and so on. I've broken it all down to a step by step process that's very simple to follow. So far, the feedback has been excellent. |

As always, thank you very much for taking the time to reply and clarify the position about emulating other peoples emails. Best wishes Gary

![]() You will probably find that you have far less legal troubles if you "steal" e-mail copy from people who are not in your niche. For example, I am not in the same niche as Frank Kern whom I mentioned above... so if I directly stole one of his subject lines he probably wouldn't give a rip. It's when you start plagiarizing other people in your niche (i.e. your competitors) that legal troubles are more likely to arise. Of course, if someone is dumb enough to directly plagiarize their competitors then they should go see a doctor because they probably have less than three functioning brain cells.
