top keywords in a certain field (without experience in that area)

Hey Warriors,

How do you discover the top keywords (most searched and/or competitive in terms of PPC) when you have zero knowledge in that field? Do you just go to competitors websites and look at their meta keywords and throw those into google adword tool?

What are your thoughts?

    Are you looking for a way to get keyword ideas within a niche? Check this out:

    Good list of niches.

    Also I would recommend typing in a root keyword in adwords keyword tool, then taking the first 5-15 keywords and individually putting those into the adwords tool as well to help you get a wide array of keywords in that niche. That's a basic method to get you started, did you have any other specific questions regarding keyword research cause it sounds like you may be looking to answer a specific question?
