Default Do you hire people to submit your site?

When you hire someone to submit your site around the internet, it's not like hiring someone to write articles or build a web site. Those provide tangible results you can review and know they did the job you asked.

But when they are submtting your site to social sites, directories and other places, the results aren't so obvious. You could check a bunch at random to see if you're listed, but that's not very effective.

How do you check their work?

What tool do you use to find out if your site is listed without doing it manually?

I've tried DnScoop, but it gave me a bunch of links from within my own site and only one link that my helper created on a social site.

When she's done, I'll want to see the results before I pay her.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Sylvia

My outsourcers report back to me with an excel spreadsheet that contains a url to the actual submission. They should be able to provide you the exact url to the page that contains your link.

Really??? I never thought of that, but it's too late now. She's already done all that work. I couldn't ask her to go back and do that.

That would take a lot of checking - especially if there are 300 sites. This job is only about 80 and that's bad enough.

Do you really go through and check them all? Or just do random checks?

It seems that if you're going to have to go through them again anyway, you might just as well do the submission while you're at it and save the $.

There has to be an easier way. For the time it would take to check all those submissions.... why pay? It only takes a few minutes to make a post.

You could hire someone off Odesk and spot check the screenshots.

Just curious but what is the average price I would expect to pay to have a service submit my stuff to ... say... 500 sites?

EDIT:
I must be half asleep. Of course I can go to the WSO section and see for myself. Doh!! Please excuse. Carry on...
