Hello guys and gals,

Im reading an eBook that says Forex is the most lucrative in internet marketing,
but the same has been said about "dating", "dieting","internet marketing","self help","how to",and so many others...

This left me wandering witch is the most lucrative niche in internet marketing?

Any thoughts guys?

i believe that it doesn't matter which niche you are in - you can make nearly anything sell depending on the amount of advertising you put in. i have a digital scrapbooking site (don't laugh ;-)) and make a full-time income from it. i have other projects though but that one is definitely pulling in a lot of money. i started because of passion, nothing else.
anyway, in the end all the mentioned markets will always be hot because they solve essential problems people have.
who doesn't want more love, more money and look better?

The most profitable niches/markets, overall, are the ones in which someone "starting work" is the least likely to become successful.

Just like backing favorite after favorite at the race-track is the least likely route to overall profit: it's the one everyone else is also backing, and that reduces its probable/potential value to the individual.

Are you more likely to make a living selling jeans or selling skating videos?

It's one of the most important and most widely misunderstood questions in the whole of (internet) marketing.

There's a discussion about it right here (the whole thread is very instructive, not only because it enlightens a few people like a lightbulb, but also - less fortunately - as a macabre illustration of how widespread are the misunderstandings about this issue, and how closely connected that is with the success-rates in internet marketing being very much on the low side): Guess who is going to have the most profitable business?

Many people find this counterintuitive, because they instinctively look at "market size" and make the mistake of assuming that there's going to be a correlation between that and their chances of earning a living in the market. Well, not altogether a mistake, in one sense: there is actually a correlation, but what they don't quite appreciate is that it's a negative one, and there are reasons for that. Again, the horse-racing betting-market analogy applies.

Backing favorites is, statistically, the least likely way to show an overall profit. Their returns are the worst overall value because they're the ones most people are backing. By definition: that's what makes them "favorites".

You're far more likely to earn a living selling skating videos than jeans.

Some people think that's "paradoxical", but they've misunderstood the realities and made erroneous assumptions: it isn't, really - it's "obvious, once you see it".

I think i really enjoy and benefit a lot from the discussion here. I hope i got what you try to say is that its a bit like a "contrarian approach" to work on a "non- favourite". Prehaps, with everything being the same, the chances of success mwy be better.
      Thanks for the insight :-)

The most profitable niche is a niche that actually interests you where there is money to be made.

The most profitable niche in the World won't mean squat if you are not passionate about it.

Passion equals more work which equals more money.

Just do something you enjoy and everything else will fall into place.

You are asking the wrong question and you will only get short term results.

You should ask yourself what your real passion is in life. What are your hobbies, etc.

Trust me, just selling something because it is "lucrative" gets boring really, really quick.

The key with Internet marketing is consistency and passion.

I started out promoting proxy servers, adsense sites, CPA offers, etc. All flopped because I just didn't care about any of it.

It was not until I started applying Internet Marketing to my passion of music that I began to make real money.

I started by posting a few of my actual songs as free mp3 downloads on a single page and the put a CPA offer on the same page.

Then I did SEO for free mp3 download keywords. It was like magic when I started making CPA commission, and downloads of my own music too.

That was 5 years ago and now I have one of the top free royalty free music sites on line and over 100 tracks people can use.

    Hi,

I don't believe that any one niche is the most lucrative. As long as you are in a niche that you are promoting well and directing targeted traffic to you could be making some really good money.

    My two cents worth.

all niches have cheap products and high end products that cost alot. Find a niche you are confortable in and figure out how to sell the products and any niche can be worth it. Payday loans, pharma shops and casinos are among the most rewarding niches if you reach the top, but you won`t, at start at least.

Whichever works for you is the most lucrative.

Sound a bit 'Lion King' when I say it... but some markets will work for one person and some for others...

Just because the Forex market is working for Person A doesn't mean it will for Person B as well.

If the approach is the same, the mindset the same, the information the same... even then, the circumstances and external situations may not be the same...

Discover your own niche... and run with it... figure out what interest you... what you feel is the best... and then find an angle that connects with the audience.

    Well,

There is some good advice in this thread and some bad advice as well.

I personally believe it has more to do with an individual than with passion.

Passion helps, but some people don't want to turn their passion into work...

I made a killing in the good'ole adsense days, did I have passion about ANY of the subjects I wrote, nope.

But it made me money and with that money I fueled my passion, which was travelling.

Everybody told me to write about travelling, but that was what I did when I WASN'T working, I never wanted that to be my work.

And don't be mislead, making money online is WORK.

I'm not saying you should not enjoy it, you definitely should, but I don't believe it has to be your passion.

I have created websites and products that I created with passion, not because I was passionate about the subject, but I was passionate about having the freedom to work for myself and create the products I thought would help someone and sell well.

I have a friend in Costa Rica that absolutely adores fishing, he was passionate about it, until he decided to monetize it, now it stresses him out.

Passion is good and has worked for many folks, no doubt, but it's not for everyone.

Now, as far as which niche is most profitable, I think you're sitting smack dab in the middle of it...

no such thing as the most lucrative.

You do not have to go past frank kern in this industry to see you have to be DIFFERENT offer EMMENSE VALUE, and BUILD REPORE with your customers and likely prospects.

These days, if you can do this, and people can get to trust and like you, and your marketing is up to speed (this includes testing) then you can make many sorts of niches lucrative.

you could even take that to the next level and talk TARGETED TRAFFIC, OFFER and CONVERSIONS...... that will depend on your traffic source, the copy on your sales page

Conversions increasing means you can make more money.

There are a lot of factors that go into your question. The most lucrative niches (not whole markets, mind you) are the ones that have:
    • Demographics that can sustain growth (think repeat buyers)
    • Constant influx of customers OR high inelastic demand
    • Your price point(s)
    • Your product mix (and/or service mix)
    • Your marketing funnel
    • Distribution channels
Here's something to think about. Now "dating" is not a niche, it's a very large market that is comprised of many niches and very specialized micro-niches that are comprised of people who are single, widowed, divorced, or people currently in unhappy relationships.

I've seen people build whole businesses around:

    1. Match-making
    2. Online dating advice ("Pimp Your Profile" as one example, lol).
    3. Christian Singles Match-Making
    4. How To Get Your Ex Back
    5. How To Pick Up With The Latest Texting Techniques
    6. How To Catch A Man And Keep A Man
    7. How To Have Better Sex (this could also go under "relationships" too)

I agree with the poster who stated that you're asking the wrong question. It's not about which niche (or even market) is the most lucrative, that should only be one of the things that you should look at.

Look for a business that you can get EXCITED about. Ideally, you would want to pursue something that you are passionate about or, at the very least, being passionate about serving your customer base.

One of the early niches I got into was wedding planning (on a budget) and I knew nothing about it, but I saw a real need. So I spent some time researching the market, interviewed a few experts in my local area, and we worked out a deal to come out with an infoproduct.

Though I was only mildly interested in the subject matter I was wildly passionate on helping couples plan the wedding of their dreams without breaking the bank. I was able to find a woman in my own county who had so many contacts she was able to get killer deals on flowers, venues, musicians, DJs, bartenders, etc.

So keep an open mind, you might genuinely surprised at the opportunities that are out there.

    This is really easy.

See, most people who go online will want to earn extra money. Money is the number one thing that most people think about when they get up in the morning.

So there is your answer right there. The work at home niche is the most lucrative of them all and will stay that way for years.

Plus, most people will say that it is already saturated and I am here to tell them that it is not and never will be.

Find a niche that isn't over crowded. No doubt that forex is lucrative because they have high pay outs and often also monthly subscriptions. So also goes with web hosting. Dieting and dating are niches where people are really prime to spend already

However these are also all really competitive niche because of their profitability. No one is going to likely expose their lucrative niche and those that are commonly known likely over crowded.

You might want to find a micro niche in one of these large categories that are less competitive or go do some research haha
There are still profit to be made but it would likely take more time to break into things for most (not necessary all)

The most lucrative nich Ive ever been in is "make money online" or "earn money online".

They get about 100k exact traffic per month and the CPC is really high.
Ive read an article of the Rank 1 site, which made about 50.000.000 per year.

So, thats definitely the most lucrative in IM

What is more important for a human being?

    Health.

Without health, everything else has no meaning.

I believe that this is the best answer if you are looking for a lucrative niche online and offline. Whatever is related to health will always be necessary. People have to buy medications or follow healing methods wanting or not because they cannot bear the unbearable symptoms that are killing them.

You should be very specific. Don't try to sell to the entire internet, but to a very specific audience.

Read Alexa’s post many times until you will understand very well what she is saying because it is a very good explanation about how to find the right niche.

Health, relationships, money are the top 3. There are many reasons a campaign can do well or go south, so don't listen to hear say. The niches that are most lucrative are only lucrative if you research the right keywords. If you mess that up, kiss your traffic and any future sales goodbye. The products that sell the best are the ones that do extensive keyword research and write compelling content in their campaigns. But most importantly, learn about what your prospects needs and wants are , you nail that, that's how funnels work in your favor. You can see which niches are hot or not at Clickbank for starters. Look for products offered with a high gravity tells you that it's definitely selling.

The funny thing about internet marketing is that niches can become saturated very quickly. If you are making good money from one niche, and you start telling everyone about it, soon you will have a lot of competition and you will no longer be able to make money from that niche.

Word of advice: never share your most profitable niches with the public.

The make money online niche will never be saturated because there will always be people who are looking for a way to earn money online.

If you think about how many babies are born all over the world today and how many guys and ladies turned 18 today who will not want to work for a BOSS, there is a HUGE market and this niche will never be saturated.

As for Forex, this was the very first niche I got in to promoting and was responsible for my very first sales online wayyyy back when I first started.
