Product launch directories? How many weeks 'before' launch date should the PL Directories know ?

If you have a product launched and ready to be released, for marketers to promote it,
then how many weeks before/ prior to its release date should you release it on the product launch notification sites?

(eg, at least 4 weeks before the launch date it should be on jvnotify, to give the launchers a chance to promote it.

    The sooner the better I think. The more notice you give people the more time they have to plan a promotion for it.

    I always put them on there as soon as I have settled on a date for launch. The other reason for this is to deter others from wanting to launch on the same day if they see another launch already happening for that day.

      Can't there be 2 launches on the same day? on the launch sites ?

      and how is it decided? a first come first serve basis ?


      and are these enough tools you provide for your launch partners/affiliates

      email swipes, blog posts, banners?


      or do you HAVE TO provide them 'dates' of when to send each email, and the launch sequence?
      is this a Must (to have these sequence dates, when to release blog posts etc..) ?

      or the above bold stuff alone will be fine

        There can be 100 launches per day. The launch notification sites don't care but YOU as a product vendor should. Why would you want to pick a day where another big product was already set to launch? It would be counter-productive. That's why I say you want to select your date and list it on the sites early so other vendors are less likely to plan their launch for that same day.

        More than enough. I only generally provide banners and email swipes. All the big affiliates (which are the ones you really want to attract) don't really need any of that stuff. They do their own promotions.
