Have you tried annotating your videos so people are reminded to click a link?
    Have you optimized your channel?

The problem is most likely with your site and its failure to motivate your visitors to convert. The video is sending traffic, which means it performs well. Use information from Google Analytics to find out the exit points from your site and identify problematic spots on your pages.

May be there are some navigational problems, may be your video message is not consistent with information on the site.. So, try to create some content elaborating on the video message and refine your call-to-action both in the video and on the main site.

Yes you have to send them to a well converting page that offers them valuable content that they are looking for...

People hardly buy on first contact. You need to send youtube traffic to a page where you can have them subscribe to your list then follow up with emails and it should result in sales.

Anyone who clicks you link needs to be put through a funnel, doesn't need to be a squeeze page it can be a content funnel.

You have to condition your visitors one step at a time right up until they buy

      All the best

A great lesson but a really hard thing to do. Having content to deliver, learning how to get your visitors atention so they ignore the unsubscribe link.. a lot of work, but it is surely worth it.

What are you trying to sell? I get around a 12% CTR to a link (for more information) on cold traffic videos, and then a 55% CTR from that landing page to my sales page.

I suspect the problem's with your video itself. Is it high quality? Does it give useful information? Do you have a strong CTA Integrated into the video itself (not just an annotation) are you using just images or are you using a voice over in conjunction?
