Just want to know if anyone has tried this service or if you have been successful with it?

If you're talking about Charlie's "Directory of Ezines" no advertiser can actually seriously respond to your question.

Why? Because it's not a matter of being successful or unsuccessful. If you're successful, it's not Charlie's merit but yours. If you fail, it's not Charlie's fault but yours. DOE is a directory of ezines and YOU choose what ezines to place further orders with. I sent you via PM a link to an article about DOE.

If you're talking about "Ezine Advertising Live" or other service Charlie provides, sorry but I cannot help you.

I use the service. It's great because it gives you a lot of information about each ezine. It gives you the publisher's name and number, kind of ads they accept with pricing, kinds of articles they accept and how many subscribers the ezine has. It just makes it so much easier. So, to me, its worth it.

Hi, Have you actually used those listed ezines to send your ads/articles? How are the results? If you don't mind, can you share?

Without trying to argue with you or anyone else ...

Such information you can get on ezines' own websites. Without paying anyone in order to get the "right" to see the information

In addition, an ezine website is always more updated than any other listing for that ezine from a third party website (it's not directory's owner fault, but that's the truth and for obvious reasons it's valid for any directory of ezines or any third party listing).

Therefore I think that it may be helpful to point out benefits that are exclusive to DOE and you cannot find them elsewhere for free

Yes, but there is definitely something to be said about aggregating all the data into a centralized location, especially if time is your biggest piece. I know I've paid money for things I could find all over the net for free, but since it was centralized in an easy format, I paid for it.

Right, when the pieces of information don't change and they are all over the net, some people may want to save their time and pay for having access to the information aggregated in a centralized location.

However, when the information changes, when you try to contact someone and find out after a few days that the rates changed in comparison with the rates you seen in that centralized location, or that the waiting time for publishing your ad is longer because of the orders placed during the last week or that the email address is no longer valid, etc., maybe the time saved is wasted (together with the money)

But anyway, if you know how to earn that amount of money mentioned in your sig ... I guess that for you is not a real problem. Congratulations!

My comment was for normal people who have to be made aware that they can find more updated information on ezines websites or alternatively ... almost the same outdated information on other centralized locations, but free (other ezines directories).

As for any human stuff there are disadvantages but also advantages ... so let's complete the picture so that not to be misunderstood

I was expecting to see some exclusive benefits, but no DOE user posting here seems to be aware of them (or don't want to share them )

      2 examples:

      - free personal consulting with Charlie (great for newbies);
      - 3 ads written by Charlie especially for you (great for newbies).

These are real benefits you cannot find somewhere else for free
