How To Promote A New ebook

I have written what I consider a very good ebook an a make money niche that I know a lot about. However I have no idea how to promote the ebook and how to get affiliates etc in an orderly way.

Can anyone share there step by step method or an ebook or report that will show somebody how to promote a new digital product.

I do not have list and I am not friends with any guru so I imagined that Jeff Walkers material or the price will not be right for me. Any help or guidance will be appreciated.

Thanks
Mag

I was recently recommended to, and purchased, Sales Army Secrets by Jimmy Brown...I'd start with that if I was you

Have you considered putting the ebook on clickbank or paydotcom?

    You could also:

--write articles (or have them written for you) and submit to ezinearticles with a link
to your landing page for the ebook.
--make a short video about the ebook and submit it to various video sharing sites
--start a blog and post articles and have links to your landing page for your book
--joint venture with someone to promote your ebook to their list

I know these aren't step by step but it should get the wheels turning...

    Hi Mag,

My suggestion especially if you are completely new to marketing is to begin with the top five marketing medias.

    1. Video Marketing
    2. My Space Marketing
    3. Article Marketing
    4. Forum Marketing
    5. Pay Per Click Marketing

Not necessarily in that order, but these medias will greatly increase your chances for success.

Also, be sure to add your signature to your posts, this will link to your page to in order for others to view your ebook about your niche. Do not underestimate it's effectiveness.

    I hope this helps.

You should checkout the WSO section, offer a discount copy and invite buyers to become JV partners

    Hi Mag:

One of the ways that you can promote without cost is to join the author forums and post content. Please don't spam. They let you introduce yourself and have a signature file. Some even have a place to plug your product.

I have been on AuthorNation.com - Home for a long time because they have a great bunch of people that root for each other and I can promote my books and new E-Book writing/speaking course while helping others.

Give it a chance. Also have a Google search for author and writing forums.

    Best of luck!

All great advice so far, but what's REALLY missing is:

    1) Are there testimonials to back-up what you claim in your ebook?
    2) Is your website setup and ready to take orders? Good copy in place? OTO's setup?
    3) Do you have an autoresponder in place to help build a passive income?
    4) Have you sought for potential partners to help you with the promotion? This saves out-of-pocket expenses.
    5) Have you looked at where you will be promoting your product or how you will be doing it?
    6) Do you have all tracking tools in place to know what is working and what is not when you launch your product?

These are just some of the basic questions to get you going. And in case you're wondering about how to get testimonials, just offer the ebook for free to some folks in exchange for their testimonials. Offer to display their website URL as well. This usually does the trick.

Good luck with your ebook though.

This is exactly the process I am going through at the moment.

Social proof (testimonials) and real product reviews are absolutely vital - I don't mean the hype that we all too often see but real live feedback - good and not so good.

I recently offered copies of my latest ebook for review feedback and it worked well for me.

Not all feedback was positive which was great as that then allowed me to update the ebook reflecting the feedback I had received, making it a better product.

(On that point don't be afraid to show less than glowing reviews as long as the overall result is a positive one. Improves your overall credibility in a marketplace where so much underdelivers.)

The reviews are now posted on my minisite.

It is possible that if you do this, you may well get offers for reviews from people who just want the free product. Fortunately, these are few and the exercise more than compensates for that.

If you decide to take Kevin's points and those also suggested by others on board, I am more than happy to review your product - it would take a couple of days elapsed time but you will get a fair review.

      Either way, best of luck

      Andrew G.

P.S: I am also working on a WSO for my ebook - great way to get sales and extremely low cost way of testing the market.

Exactly! This is why it is crucial to get feedback from some people. Not only will you get affirmation of how good/bad your ebook is, but it allows you room and time to fix the problems that others point out. 20 pairs of eyes are a lot better than just 1 pair.

Depending on whether or not you have a back-end offer, I would actually give the book away to get paying clients and then get them with an upsell on the back-end.

      Hey mhuktar

In your comment - is that for offering a free ebook around ?

Maybe the OP is selling his ebook rather than giving it away ?

Will those file sharers help in that case ?

      Thanks for explaining.
