How Could I Sell My Monthly MLM Income?

Hello Dear Warriors,

I'm really sorry if this sound like very stupid question.

To make the long story short, I have a residual monthly income from an MLM company. It's reliable MLM company that has in business for 10+ year.

The income is around $200 to $300 a month. Without me doing anything.
They paid to my paypal account.

But now I need $2k cash to cover another online business expenses. So, the question is...

Is it possible to sell my income above for 10x? If not, why?

Because if I recall correctly, website usually sells for around 10x of it's current revenue.

It'll be hard to sell this for 10x in my opinion just because the market is much smaller. Most people don't want anything to do with MLM. However, if you have an affiliate site earning a consistent $200-300 a month for several months you can probably sell it for close to 10x just because the market is much larger. Not saying you can't do it, but it will probably take awhile to find the right buyer for this @ the 10x price.

Okay we can talk and discuss long about this. With reasons..

But im feeling sleepy. So here goes in a nut shell..

Ask yourself if you would pay that amount.

For me, charge me $2000 to learn how to earn $200 a month? Nope. sorry.
      Wont bite the bait. =)

You need to read the terms of your distributorship agreement/contract with the company, and see whether it permits you to sell the distributorship. They often do, with a proviso that the company has to "approve" the replacement distributor, such approval not to be witheld without "fair and proper cause" (whatever that means) etc. etc.

Or maybe try to get a loan using the "consistency" of the MLM income as evidence of your ability to repay (if possible - might not be easy).

Lexy beat me to it again.

Maybe websites sell for 10x income, but other businesses often go for 6-7 times income. Take your average monthly income for the last 12 months (if you have it) and multiply by 7.

Of course, you can always ask for 10x and negotiate.

Newbiee, he's talking about selling an existing business, not teaching someone how to build one. Different animal entirely.

"Literally forever" is not a term that I would use for an MLM program, and I think most people share my sentiment. It jumps out to me that you've said the program has been around for 10+ years, but not how long you've been getting the income. Also, any use of the phrase "without me doing anything" raises a red flag. If it requires no effort, why aren't you scaling it up?
