So why will YouTube not let me add my tags to my video? HELP

I have a video on YouTube.com and I changed the description and added a bunch of tags. I was told that I could add as many as i want as there is no limit, so I went wild and added 28+/-. I got an error; Your settings could not be saved: Invalid tags. WTH!

I deleted the last one because I thought maybe there is a limit. My tags are everything I got from GKT starting with my main keyword on down the list. So how can they be invalid.

How do I get my tags on my video?

I've had this happen before as well. I think there is some type of limit as once I deleted a few that message stopped appearing and everything saved just fine.

A little annoying there's not more guidance, but then again, it is youtube

There isn't a limit, but it will happen if you are using the same key words over and over. By this I mean, for example, if you are in the make money online niche, if you have keywords like the following it will reject them:

        make money online
        make money online from home
make money online in your spare time
        make money online scams

You can see from that example that "make money online" was used four times. YouTube will reject these as duplicates and will give you that error. I have found the most similar keywords you can have is two of the same, so pick your favorites, and add them one at a time, and save after each one. You will see it will come to the point where YouTube will reject the duplicate, and give you the error.

Don't worry as long as your keywords are good and relevant you will still rank well.

        Good Luck.
