How Can I Allow FTP Access To One Directory

INTERNET MARKETING

I have a directory that needs FTP Access by a third party.

If the domain is http://www.mydomain.com/mydirectory/targetdirectory/ for example, how can I allow access to that targetdirectory without compromising the rest of the site?

Go to your cpanel and add a new FTP account that has access to the path you listed.

Then give that access to your 3rd party.

If this is a addon domain look through the ftp accounts in your cpanel. If there is not one you can make one for it.

Brian,

When creating your new FTP account it is the 'Directory' box you want to pay attention to. If you only want to give the user access to a certain folder then you enter the path to that folder into the 'Directory' box and that way they will only have access to that folder.
