Clickbank - Customer bought same product twice

he just emailed me and asked how to go about refunding one of the sales as he accidentally purchased same product twice. Should I just tell him to refund one in the normal way? (This obviously affects my refund rate)

Thanks if any one could let me know best way.

I would ask if he paid with paypal, if he did say thanks for the purchase and ask for his paypal email address that he would like the money refunded into, otherwise you'll have to go through clickbank which will affect your refund rate as mentioned.

It's better to have your refund rate affected than risk the customer getting mixed up (after all he has already made a duplicate purchase) and later requesting a refund through ClickBank.

I have to agree here. Don't worry about your refund rate. Worry about providing quick and easy customer service. A customer like this who is dealt with fast and efficiently will remember you and very likely buy from you in the future.

Put your customer first and you will rarely go wrong

I certainly wouldn't do this. It can lead to various avoidable complications (and probably won't really work if there was an affiliate involved, anyway).

You can't actually do a refund. The payee is ClickBank not the OP. You can only reimburse (i.e. send money)
