When is the best time

We are looking to launch our brand new newsletter to our list, does anyone have any idea what time of day and what day of the week gets the best response?

Do you know what time zone the majority of your list is in? Is it exclusively in one time zone or one country or state? What kind of demographic reach does your list have?

I've noticed with all the lists that I have across different markets, there is no one best time. I sort of joke with folks in my mastermind that the best day is any day that ends in "Y". More and more people get alerts on their mobile devices when they receive an e-mail.

I'll tell you this much, though, I generally stay away from sending out e-mails to any list on Friday and Saturday nights (unless it's a reminder for a nightclub promotion), I generally don't send on Sundays either.

Gotcha, there are several ways to do this. If you are able to segment your list by time zone, then you can do a launch to each of them in the morning on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. It also depends if you plan on doing a pre-launch broadcast or autoresponder series. If you do a pre-launch series then you can launch pretty much on any day and time because people will know what it is ahead of time.

If you don't capture that type of information you can do a pre-launch series where you give useful information before the actual launch, so you won't be sending out just one e-mail. A one-email launch is not as effective as using a pre-launch series, pre-selling them that your solution to their want or need or problem is what you need to do.

Of course, I'm writing in general terms here, as there are a lot of nuances to launching a new product or service. For example, you'll want to give people a date and time of your launch at some point (some marketers choose to share that at the beginning, others don't). Then after your launch, you'll still want to remind people at least a couple of times.

This is where sales copy really shines because you have to focus on WIIFM (Whats In It For Me).

That depends on the type of subscriber and time zones as Rod mentioned. But generally Tuesday mornings are good (Mondays are too busy for most to read newsletters)

    Hi..

Being that internet marketing is a global, choosing a perfect time that is ideal for all possible prospects is difficult.

For myself, I tend to starts sales/send out message around 8pm EST. It's 5pm on the west coast of the U.S. and 1am in England.

But again, very hard to have a time that is ideal for the entire globe simultaneously.

    Much Success,
