I finally understand Google's reasoning behind Local & Universal search!
So figure that you're some joe shmo from Idaho and you search for "marketing", now instead of clicking one of the organic listings you can now go to the local Idaho results that are also in the organic listings section (which didn't used to be there until recently) and now where there's even more ads!
This is all true with "universal search" as well since Google owns YouTube where there are ALSO ads!
Pretty smart of Google, keep the visitor on your site/s as long as possible to try to increase clickthroughs while providing them with relevant, local & video results all at the same time.
