    Hi Jaren,

    Welcome to the Warrior Forums!

First thing I'll do is to probably send an email to someone
nearby who can get me out of the locked room.

Seriously though, I'd find an affiliate offer that I want to
be an affiliate for and start driving tons of traffic to it.
    Simple as that!

      Cheers Jaren
Steven answered you pretty much in his response.

But he forgot step 5 (which is what I mentioned)
which is getting yourself out of that locked room.

This is what I would do in this order.

    1. I would research the perfect niche for me to get into. Once I've established
that it has excellent potential for income generation, I'd then do the following:

    2. Hire the brightest freelancers in the business to:

    Create product
    Create sales page
    Create ope in page
    Create autoresponder campaign
Find me the best software that I would need for tracking, selling, etc.

    3. Hire a mentor to teach me the most killer marketing techniques.

    4. Take out a loan for whatever I needed in order to make all the above
    happen.

I would leave nothing to chance and certainly nothing to my "newbie"
brain to do myself. Of course, I would learn while all this was going on.

But...with the money I would make from this niche, I'd then be able to
pay off my loan, buy whatever instruction I needed to get to the next
level and then move on to the next niche, repeating the process.

Eventually, I would have so many niches running on autopilot (mostly
through ppc and outsourcing articles) that all I'd have to do is log in each
day to see how much money I've made.

I'd probably retire after about 2 or 3 years or until I got bored with it all.

What's more, he's given it to your spec.

My my my hello Steven Ive not been around for a long time now I do hope this post finds you and your family well

OK enough of the niceities.............. whats happened to you!!!!!!!!

Get a loan? Hire this? Hire that? Get this person to do this? This software to do that?

None of this has come from the fingers of the Steven I remember................

RIGHT HERE is where you start, read read and read a bit more throught the thousands of pure gold posts that are in the warrior archives, you can easily get a $100 thousand dollar marketing education right here on this forum completely FREE!

Read through some of Stevens old posts (you will then see why I think he may have been having an off day when he posted to this thread ) Nobody on this forum went through a bigger learning curve than Steven did, sheer guts and determination got him to where he is now and not forgetting good old fashioned hard work.

The most successful marketers you will ever come acroos work 16-20 hours a day 7 days a week, have no illusions internet marketing can be very financially rewarding ut it also takes a LOT of hard work and determination.

There is no "follow these simple steps to riches". Internet marketing is a highly personal thing and to a certain extent you really need to have a bit of passion for whatever niche you are in.

Start with something your good at even if its only making paper aeroplanes, find your first niche then folow Stevens steps without hiring anyone or lending a penny from anyone. Dont start your new business in debt!!!!

It takes time you have a huge learning curve ahead of you bigger than anything you have ever done before, anyone who says its easy is a liar and are certainly NOT successful.

There is no blueprint you have to find your own way, there are plenty of people out there offering blueprints but ask yourself why 9 out of 10 of them arent following them themselves. Why? Simple its easier to sell the dream.................

I wish you the best of luck in your new career but be careful theres plenty of people that will say they will show you the way as long as you hand over $100 for this $100 for that, you dont need to spend a penny past a domain name and hosting.

Go learn its much more rewarding

I'd probably retire after about 2 or 3 years or until I got bored with it all.

All of this assumes there is sufficient financing to pay for all of this.

What would you do if the bank wouldn't lend and you had say $1,000 when you started?

      Now it's a bit different.

I've witnessed quite a lot of "internet start ups" raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to pay for this and that. Within a year or two they have quietly disappeared into the mist, taking investors funds down the toilet with them.

So throwing money at something isn't necessarily the answer and I'm sure that wasn't the gist of your post.

But my main point is that a lot of beginners don't have much cash to put in at the beginning.

I would do the same thing I did. Sell advertising and marketing. Although it can be a head ache sometimes, the knowledge, and contacts you make are priceless. Once you learn how to advertise and market products and services, the possibilities are endless.

I was gonna say what Steven said, but he always says it better

P.S- One thing that Steven mentioned that is very important that I was late to utilize, is building a list. VERY IMPORTANT. Always cheaper to sell to a list!

If I was in a locked room I would write articles. The reason is that there is a lot of variety with the subject matter. Also, I could do research, which I love. This would help from getting board.

Thanks Roey So Articles On things your good at? Cause I think thats my whole problem I dont have enough information about anything to make an information product If I did then I think it would be fairly simple!

    Create a product

Offer great free content and build up a mailing list!

    Market your product!

    Drive traffic to your site

Watch the money flow in! lol

The more you know about a subject, the less research you have to do to write the articles. However, writing articles on any subject (or keyword phrase) can be done with a little research. That's what I like, because you learn a little bit each time you do an article. (Even with an article that you are familiar with the subject.)

If you don't have a product to market, this is a good place to make some money before getting to the next level of your personal internet marketing journey. Maybe you will stumble upon a niche or subject that you can really monetize.

      Peace,

      Roey.

Allot of you have suggested advertising for someone but no one has said what and who to advertise for (remember I'm a complete newbie!) So I'm starting out with nothing from scratch what site would you go to to try and advertise a product?

Also is there any tutorials or resources out there that teach you how to advertise for someone?

My advice would be to learn one area of online marketing and advertising, such as SEO, or Backpage posting service(very easy to learn and implement, and not against their TOS). Or what you can do is sell other peoples service like I do. I simply am a third party vendor, and outsource all my work. This leaves me to deal with customer service, and admin work. This concept is very similar to affiliate programs, but you actually sell the jobs.

I wish I knew of some good resources. I actually had a mentor who taught me, and I figured a lot out on my own. I also hung out on forums, and learned a ton of free stuff.
Forums are a great way to save money, cause there is so much free info on them.

Hire the brightest freelancers in the business
Steven, if you were just beginning as a newbie in a locked room, how would you be able to determine who are the brightest freelancers? (Other than the ones that answered Asher's email and came to unlock the room...)

no one has said what and who to advertise for
Jaren, that's where you make your money. You have to decide what skills, interests, strengths, and life experience you have to offer. Then you have to decide how to find a market niche that is large and growing, yet not too competitive, and you can enjoy it and offer something beneficial.

We can discuss all that, but the conversation will be more comfortable if you find a way out of the locked room first.

By the way, thanks for a really fun way to describe the challenge of starting from scratch. This is a fun discussion.

    Sure, you could write

    • Light bulbs, locked rooms, and you
    • Why banging on the walls in locked rooms only hurts your hand
My favorite is the finale of the series

    How I picked the lock

I was wondering would there be a credit card in that room with you? I would search and search and read and read and buy nothing for until I decided on what avenue I was going to take. How would you know where to even begin?

-how do you know what's legit
-how do you know what forums are worthy
-how do you know what has demand
-how do you know who is a good mentor
-how do you know what you would be good at
-how do you know what exists out there

Without searching and reading there are way too many unknowns and a lot of deciphering to do to find out where the value is. You have a good start being part of this forum.

I agree with a post above.

Those are all great ways but writing articles are powerful.

    1. They are FREE. But remember, because they are free usually means that your it will take some of your time.

    2. They are powerful. Have you ever noticed how many views an actual article can get? It's staggering! =-)

    3. You can do it over and over again. Just do more keyword research and do the same process...rinse wash and repeat.

    jaren-watkins,

One of the best places to start with creating a product when you don't have any knowledge yet is to interview experts and turn that into a product.

Depends on how you define "make money online"...
        1. A little extra cash for kicks
        2. A set amount of regular cash
        3. Replace a job
        4. Start and grow a real business
        5. etc.
The answer is different for each.

    well,
    surely you have some skill...
You could start with article writing for people.
    Even just in this forum!
Get enough cash for a couple of domains and hosting.
Then I would follow Steven's advice, without the loan bit...
However, if you have a passion for a topic... ANY topic, chances are that you can make this work for you.
Produce your own product and write your own articles, etc...
I would only outsource the technical stuff. No need to add more work on.

I'm new to WF and have only been IM'ing about 1 year. If I were to start from scratch I would use Google keywords to search for "how to" topics that get alot of search volume per month. Then I would search those keyword phrases in Google to see which are low competition keywords. Once found I would search in CB to see what affiliate products are offered surrounding those keywords. From there I would start writing and submitting in hopes I would make some sales. At least that was the process that I was introduced to when I started this venture. I've had great success with this method - in that I've learned alot about this business. Now if I could only convert this knowledge into cash! Is this method working for anyone else?

I would host a non-stop UStream show on my own website and talk about different products. Almost like a shopping channel but for Internet Marketing products... or whatever niche you happen to be into.

Pick one product per day and do a very extensive demo on it. Then once my show got popular I would sell advertising on my website and even specific ad spots during the live shows (and today's sponsor is...)

Wouldn't be long before Internet Marketers were mailing you their products to get onto your show.

You could call it something like... "The Test Guru..." --> The truth behind IM products!

Or whatever... I think this would go over quite well and if you guys don't go out and do it I just might have to

If I knew nothing, I would research as much as I could into a niche or strategy that interested me. There are so many different ways of making money online it is absolutely mind-boggling. The important thing would be to find something that you are interested in. Oh yeh, and something that works as well!

If I knew what I know now, (Many Years of Slaving) I would invest in some existing websites that are making x,xxx amount of dollars and build them up to make xx,xxx amount of dollars.

Probably not the route many would go, but it's what I like.
