Can Any One Recommend A Free Or Cheap Autoresponder Software?

I am looking for an autoresponder mlm software I can downlaod and set up on my own server. It would be great to find a free one but if its a one time low payment to buy, that's ok too.

Can anyone recommend anything?

    Hello Joe,

    Just wanted to let you know that list building needs investment, It will not worth it if you cant even pay for a decent autoresponder such as aweber or getresponse.

    If you want to host autoreponder on you hosting server Just buy an premium or well serviced hosting and you'll get it readymade.

    another thing, The emails from your hosting autoresponder always goes to spam, I've tried it many times and Finally switched to aweber.

    If you still want to go with a free autoresponder then go for listwire.com, or ymlp.com

    Thanks for the feedback. I can afford paying for the service but I kind of enjoy learning how to set up things in a way that I can control and I don't have to pay for it. I like the process of learning this stuff for some reason.

    I just learned something from you about the emails going to spam folders, there can be several reasons for that...I think but before the emails sent out, of course, you have to run some spam tests.

    Most people here will dissuade you from using a free, or your own hosted autoresponder. This is the heard and soul of your list building campaign so it makes sense that you put it in a hands of a reliable company.

    I believe AWeber actually offers a $1 one month trial (correct me if I'm wrong) but maybe you could start with that first.

    There's nothing wrong with managing your own mailer on your own server.

    In fact, if you're going long term, it's a good idea.

    In any event, check out a service called "sendgrid", and "interspire" (work well together).

    I would definitely go with Getresponse or Aweber but if I have to suggest for a free software, your best option is listwire.com.

    I am all for the self hosted solution. Alls it takes is your mailing list provider to get pissed off, and BOOM away goes your business in one night. Years of hard work down the drain? No thanks. Self hosted means no monthly payments and no one holding the sword of damoclese over your business.

    Do not look for the price here, cheap ar's have low delivery rate, less options etc. Why do you think Getresponse and Aweber go to so much trouble to keep their client list clean. Again save on other stuff, but get good autoresponder and a good host.

    Also lets say you want to move your list to one of the good ar's later, are you aware how much trouble that is?

    One thing I learned since I started don't go with a free autoresponder,
    1st - they're not as dependable as a pay one like Aweber or Autoresponder
    2nd - When you're ready to transfer to a paid one not only it's a lot of trouble but you'll lose a lot of your hard to get leads in the process. Those could have been potential buyers, and if you do the math it's not worth it.
    If you like to set up things to learn, use one website and try it out. But I wouldn't do it on my main money site

    When it comes to mass email communication and list building, don't go cheap because in the end you will pay in a bad way. Invest in Aweber or GetResponse. It will be well worth it in the end. Imagine you build a list all along but your emails can't get delivered to your prospects.

    Careful with autoresponders - especially aweber - they have very strict rules and can eliminate your list without any notification. I personally know of these cases occurring ... GetResponse is the best in the market right now
