What is your best free traffic generation method? Please explain how and what you do for the best result?

    There has been literally thousands of threads about free traffic, at least a dozen or more I can recall in the past week alone. I'm fed up to the back teeth or reading the same rehashed replies over and over again.

    You've been a member here long enough to know how the site operates, and must have come across the "search" facility during that time on numerous occasions. For christ sake USE IT, get the information you're seeking, and leave space on the main board for something a bit more interesting than bloody repeats all the time!

    It's a telling statistic that in the 8 months you've been a member of WF, you've been "thanked" on one solitary occasion. Telling in the sense that you've offered next to no value in your posts as far as other members are concerned, and this thread is a fine example of that.

        No-one's flaming you buddy. I've offered you the easy way to get the answers you're looking for. Your attitude illustrates that not only are you unable to comprehend what logical advice is, you're also highly unlikely to make a success in IM as you want all the answers provided on a plate for you without doing any of the legwork yourself.           If you had started a thread about .. "I can't figure it out!", and then stating that you have read ALL of the threads relating to this topic, you might just get a better response, as opposed to random thread count builders. What Horny Devil said, was great advice.

          While you are sorta new, this forum isn't. And, chances are, it's been covered once or twice. If you're not willing to take the time to research how to do your business, chances are, you're not going to do well. Sorry, but that is a fact. There is an abundance of amazing information on this forum, and you will get a better response (and more respect), if you actually show that you have made an effort.

      This is not helpful in fact it's a personal attack and flame. If you have nothing helpful to add then move along with your pessimistic views and find something more valuable to do with your time.           I was getting information until low life flamers jumped in. I have a right to post just like anyone else. If you have nothing positive to contribute do not flame, no one is holding a gun to your head to read and reply to my post.     I have only started recently, but after checking my google analytic's I can safely say my best free traffic sources are Youtube and forum marketing.

    Youtube - I uploaded ten videos last week just simply taking about two products I promote, I then transcribed the videos into a blog post and added a few images with my affiliate link.

    I put a link to the blog post in my YouTube description and do a bit of SEO on the videos.

    Each video is getting about 10 views a day with around 2-3 converting into blog visits.

    So from a day of creating videos I am now achieving around 30 unique views a day just from YouTube.

    I plan to add 1 video a day for the next two weeks and see where that takes me.


    Forum Marketing - I dont like calling it that, because in my mind im not marketing. I enjoy forums, I always have from a young age.

    I dont purposely sign up to a forum to sell.

    I have 4 forums that I post on a regular basis, I try and post 5 useful comments on each forum each day.

    I try to be help full, and engage with the community.

    This brings me in 20-60 unique views each day.

    I like Hubpages for free traffic. Just write what is considered a good article for Hubpages and you can see some good regular traffic if you include a link to whatever you are promoting in the article.

    It really depends on your goal and your plan. Some plans fit really well with traffic exchanges, while others work better with article marketing. There are a ton of ways to get free traffic and you just need to match the right choices with your plan.

    I agree with both Horny Devil and Khemosabi. The advice given is actually going to be helpful to you, learn to use the search function of this forum as there are dozens of threads on this very topic.

    Click on search in the top navigation bar and then click on advanced search. Next type best free traffic on the left side where it says keywords.


    Below is a screenshot of all the threads the search brings up, there are 3 pages of threads on this very topic.

    There is a search bar and any question that is asked on this forum can be lead there. That said. This is why forum posting is my favorite way to drive free traffic. I don't care if I answer this question 100 times or 1000 times. People are new and just trying to find there way. Just because all the big shots can find what they are looking for does not mean a newbie can.

    I just wonder why you read the title of the post and then click on it. Is it so that you can come onto the post and belittle and show how awesome you are because you know you way around? Someone wants to ask a question and thankfully the mods don't take the same offense as some members.

    OP try and use the search bar, but if you want to ask a question.... Just do it : ) Every single question can be answered with a search. If that is the type of interaction we wanted we would all go to Google. So if you don't like a question....... Don't click on the thread. Agian this is what I love about forums and the traffic they bring.

      "Free traffic" is one of the most common questions asked on here. Do you not think - in your evident wisdom - that it makes sense to get a bucket load more information, and much, much faster, from the numerous threads to be found by using the search facility?

        Well, one way I really like to get traffic is to create a super hot 3 page (or so) report and give it away with the instructions to share it at the bottom.

        There are lots of places you can put it to get the ball rolling.

        I once had a report bring me over 200,000 visits lifetime. The offer converted at about 8% ($2.90 CPA, you do the math) the offer only lasted about 2 years and I'm still getting traffic to it. Yes, I swapped offers but the new one's not tailored to it and only converts at about 2%. Not bad for 45 min work.

          This is probably the most non traditional answer as many people forget about submitting pdf's to sites, including myself.

          But definitely one of the great ways to get traffic.

        The bottom line is this.... If you don't like the question or you find it to be redundant then stay off the thread. Funny thing is that I wasn't directing what I said at you personally. I was making a blanket statement about threads like these and posts like yours.
        Yes the info for this topic is all over the forum, but with the time spent pointing out how there is a search function you could have instead offered some advice on the topic and actually helped. You know... Something like.

        I use YouTube videos and provide search specific tags or something. Posts suggesting use the search bar seem to go a bit against the concept of community. Hey that's just me.

        Well I just don't get that. Who are you to say what is stupid? You don't know what levels of experience people have when they get here! When I first got here I was lost and it took me quite some time to find my way. Far more than 73 posts. Must be because I am no where near as quick or bright as you are..... Or maybe I simply take information in at a different pace and process things differently.

        At the end of the day.

        You came on to a thread asking a specific question and told the OP to go somewhere else sounding as arrogant as anyone can. If the thread bores you.... Why the hell did you come to it?

                To the OP, here is a decent traffic method for you.

                1. Grab a plr report/ebook related to the site you are promoting.
                2. Edit the book and put a link at the end to your site
                3. Upload to as many torrent sites as you can.

    Blogging for sure. You can get indexed quickly in the search engines, and if you're consistent with the amount of posts that you make on a daily basis, you can't lose. Trust me, i would know.     According to what I could understand into practice and by participating of this forum and reading a lot is that the best traffic generating method is to build an email list, which will also buy your products. You can easily drive traffic to your pages with your email messages, because you have a group of followers.

    You have many advantages when you build an email list because you use the traffic you got once multiple times. When someone decides to download your free ebook and gives you their email address you are lucky because you keep this traffic. Some subscribers will always do what you suggest. So, whenever you want to drive traffic to a certain page you always have a group that will visit this page after receiving your email message.

    Of course, many subscribers will be indifferent. But having an email list is necessary and very good for many reasons.

    You can sell your products to your email list and directly have profits from your initial success when they decided to read your words after sending them a few messages and showing them that you are a real expert, you are honest, etc.

    This is not a completely free traffic generating method because you have to have an auto-responder, but you must have this tool online and it is inexpensive.


    The traffic you have from your subscribers is frequent traffic.

    I've been getting good results from linkedin.

    Basically, I find groups which are appropriate and relevant for whatever I want to promote (at the moment it's just my blog) After posting an interesting title and link to my page, voila! I get a decent amount of hits depending on the size of the group that I post in.

    If you really want to get the best free traffic tactic, you should test it yourself with different methods and track it if which one is the most effective one.

    I've done many traffic generation methods such as:
    - Participate in the forums related to my niche and make connection and interactivity.
    - Find similar blog niches and build relationship as well as give the insightful comments.
    - Joining into some Q&A sites and see if there are any questions that I could give valuable answers.
    - Create social relations by social networking sites.
    - Do article marketing to see if that bring the traffic.
    - Create different version of my articles and submit to various document sharing sites such SlodeShare, Docstock, and Pdf ...etc.
    - Do video marketing as well on YouTube and some more.
    - Also do the podcast.
    - One and the most free one is organic traffic.

    As the best for me, there are 3 which are SEO, Social, and Forum.
    The thing is, different niches will have different sources of best traffic. You should try it and see if which one is the best for your site.

    I think one of the best places for free traffic generation is right where you are now. The Warrior Forum.

    And, of course there are other forums with similar themes where people come together to gain insight from others as well as to sell them services.

    Posting requires learning even if it is in the moment of reading the other fellow's post. It almost never fails that I learn something new every posting session I do. Best of luck to you.

        These are my 3 favourite words. I am pushing hard at driving traffic to a new blog, so i write a post and then submit it to my social networks, which increase my seo position. I then syndicate that article via document sharing sites. I am just about to move into youtube marketing for this blog as well. Hope that helped

    I am not sure what does you mean by free traffic. Almost 80% traffic sources are free. Social media, Forums, guest blogging is the best for traffic. Organic traffic is also a great source of traffic but you have to do all required jobs or have to pay someone for this.

    Blogging with high quality white hat SEO incorporated in your site. Use long tail keywords in your niche to get your articles ranked higher in search engines.

    YouTube videos are a terrific way to drive traffic. Create videos in your niche and make sure you keyword them well to what you are talking about. Look at similar videos to see some good keywords. Make sure you put a link back to your site in your video and description. That should drive a decent amount.

    Just continually create good value for your viewers/customers and you will continually rank higher and higher if you are doing those things.

    When I first started my site I contacted many other royalty free music website owners and requested a link exchange. Many of them were very friendly and agreed.

    This was a great way to start getting some traffic and building Google page rank. Google is a great source of traffic but you have very little control over it without buying links. So I don't focus on SEO.

    Since then I found that YouTube is my largest traffic source. But that is because so many people use my music in their videos now.

    Your best bet is to create a content site that people recommend to other people as a resourse. I am really fortunate with that with DanoSongs, the free use option I have creates allot of word of mouth.

        Well, you can use document sharing sites like scribd and docstoc and slideshare. You can upload whole articles to these kind of sites with a link to what you are willing to promote. Or what I sometime do what also works is just make an ad (preferably with a picture) and name this document to an appealing keyword which is relate to you niche. Than upload it again with another name of the document. The second option won't give you as much traffic and won't give you a lot of followers. However if you do this on a different account it will probably give you more traffic

      When you are on the video's page you can click your right mouse and than you see view page source (or something like that ) click on that and you will see a lot codes. Than clich ctrl+f on your keybord which will open a tiny popup where you can typ and search for word on that page. Search for keyword and copy every keyword there.

    The best free traffic method I have used would be Youtube! It is easy and I can make a highly profitable video in about 30 minutes...

    All you need to do is research your keywords correctly and your good to go!

    Another traffic source I have used that has also made me a lot of money is Facebook...

    Just think about it...

    ..Facebook is a gold mine!

    So if you don't have one I would recommend creating a page and use it to recieve traffic and leads...

    1) Research keywords with decent search volume (long-tails)
    2) Write or outsource articles on said subjects.
    3) Sit back and watch the traffic increase over time.

      Yahoo Answers is definitely a gold mine. I don't get a huge amount of traffic to it, but I like to think that if anyone searches Yahoo Answers for a topic I'm writing about, they may see my response.

      I actually had someone write a comment on a post I was using on Yahoo Answers and said she had read my response and went to the link.

      And to those telling him to search the forum, that is good advice but it's always good to be able to have a discussion. He actively asked questions to further his knowledge.

    I get a lot of traffic from Google images. They are a proven winner. Most people will use it to find pictures for their blog. All I require is one back link back to me. They are free to use my pictures as long as they link back to me. Pinterest is another winner. They can drive a lot of traffic to you. Build up a stable of quality crisp images.

    I write and submit press releases but with a twist...most press releases are written with a serious tone. I write them adding in some humour and then include a snippet of the press release on my blog.

    I then use Pingler.com to notify the search engines. I find this method works well as you can engage your readers with your personality and keep them interested. Sometime I also use fiverr for backlinks to the press release and my blog highlighting the keywords. Hope this idea helps.
