Managing bookmarks....is there an easier way?

Hi

I don't know about you but I am stuggling to keep the links of my blogs, sites, social bookmarking links, online tools etc etc. in one place without having to constantly scroll down my Firefox Bookmarks tab.

How does everybody else manage their bookmarks? Is there an easier way?

Thanks

Gary

I think some of them hire professionals to manage their bookmarks.

A professional bookmarker? You have got to be kidding! What do they do, come to your house and sort out your bookmarks?

For those of us who can't afford professional help there are a few more conventional solutions:

      http://www.google.com/bookmarks/

      https://login.yahoo.com/config/login...rks.yahoo.com/

      Delicious

      Happy bookmarking!

Thanks for the links Bill. Much appreciated.

Do people really hire professional bookmarkers? Not sure how that would work but I will try the hands on approach myself.

          Regards

I wouldn't have been without Roboform until recently. It will store bookmarks but also login for you automatically and can also fill in forms. The free version only allows 10 logins. However, just discovered lastpass.com which is free for any number of logins. You can sort your bookmarks into groups and again it logs in automatically. Also, you can use from any computer whereas Roboform has to be either loaded onto your computer or carried around on a memory stick.

One thing that helps me keep them organized is using folders across the bookmarks toolbar instead of bookmarks. A shorter name for the folder lets you keep more there.

    G & B,

Here is another idea which may work for you and some others.

If you have your own website you could make sort of a utility page with all your bookmarks categorized on it.

Just put a no-index tag on it if you like, or make it an indexed page and put some adsense on it.

Bottom line is you could categorize your bookmarks with jump links and simply add them as you wish.

Just an idea I have since I have the same problem as you and everyone else does. I need to delete a ton of mine before I consider making a bookmark page however.

    Cheers,
    Zac
