What are the Best Plugins/Practices for a faster website [Better Loading Time] ?

Hello guys, i have been away from the forum in a while because of my new endeavor, never the less i must attribute at least 70% of the knowledge i have now with regards to marketing online to what i have learn here, with that said i always value suggestions/advises given on this forum.

With regards to my new endeavor i recently created a entertainment website as you can understand a website like this usually got a lot of pics/videos/audio emebed which will cause it to load slow. This is my problem i've heard that increasing "load speed" will help websites in many ways such as user experience, SEO rankings etc.

I must add that i recently had problem with my hosting(was down) because the website was using up too much CPU. Thus getting my website to use less CPU/Bandwidth as since been a priority.

To check out the actual loading speed you can see website link below. Otherwise just leave your suggestion(s) for better loading time.

Thanks in advance.

One thing I can suggest you, use Amazon S3 for storage of your images, videos, audios. That will bring down your hosting server load by 50% if not more. Amazon S3 is economic too.

Do you have a link for a tutorial with S3? I've been trying to combine it with Wordpress to host my images for affiliate sites so I can add in more eye catching stuff, but I can't see any tutorials what suit what I need.

      Thanks!

EDIT: Nevermind, post above me has the information...

this is true, but if you have a monster authority site it's going to take you a bunch of time to do all of that.

just use wpsupercache plugin and cloud fare, all free.

      Youtube for tutorials, enjoy!

You need a caching plugin like WP Super Cache and a CDN like Amazon Cloudfront. There's a few other tricks and tweaks but those two will have you well on your way.

    Good luck

You could try using the WP2Cloud plugin that helps manage your content delivered from Google Cloud or Amazon S3.

If you want fast you can host WP on a VPS or dedicated server, use S3 or Google Cloud to deliver your content. Plus your content is secure and no need to backup.

I've invested a lot of time and resources in this area because site speed is quite literally money, every second counts and it has a huge impact on conversion.

For a site like you describe you want a basic dedicated server to start with along with server level caching via memcache and possibly a PHP accelerator.

You'll also want a content delivery network (check out maxcdn) to keep everything speedy!

I assume your not using wordpress? I have a more detailed tutorial about how to speed wordpress up to increase conversions here Site Speed Is Money - How I Earnt $30,587 In 6 Hours - Matthew Woodward

Have you also considered things like compressing the image files and videos server side?

    Yes i'm using wordpress.
Your suggestions sounds a lot, interesting though..
i am going to check out those suggestions of your. Seems like they are gonna cost me too, thats the only down part.
