Affiliate Marketing on CJ

I'm in the process of building a new site and I'm about 30 articles in. The site is not finished yet and not launching until I'm ready.

I signed up for CJ this week and immediately applied to join ODesk and Elance as I have a friend looking to hire some outsourcers. I had not planned to begin registering for affiliate programs until the site was finished and launched but when my friend asked I jumped the gun a little.

Both ODesk and Elance rejected my application with no explination.

Are there certain rules I'm missed or certain types of sites they will not endorse (my site is based on web training)?

Well, you did mention that your site is not yet completed. Why not complete it fully then reapply?

      Hi,

You may not have the profile that they are looking for, no disrespect. Did they specify any preference in their terms and conditions? I agree with Writeaway that the simple fact of not having your site fully functional may have precluded you from being approved.

When you apply you should have the website up and running, that increases your chances a lot.

    • OK, thanks guys. It was the complete lack of any reason which was confusing me. I'll try again when the site is done
