Best way to monetize a pop culture blog

Hello Warriors, long time reader/new member here. I have a blog that does very well with Google News whenever I post about a celebrity or event, but I'm wondering what the best way to go about monetizing that site may be.

I have Adsense units on the blog and every once in a while I'll mention a product and link to Amazon with my affiliate link. I get a lot of long tail searches but I'm wondering if I should ditch this blog and start a more product-focused blog.

I enjoy writing about pop culture but I'm not sure it's the idea that could make me any real money. Would appreciate any insights.

    It sounds like if you're getting a lot of traffic adsense should help. You can use your blog to market products or services related to pop culture.

    CPA offers mate. Try searching for stuff related to every piece of news you feature on Offer Vault. There's not many topics you can't find an offer for...

    That's how I monetize my scrambled traffic websites.

    I would try doing relevant amazon affiliate links. For example, if you found a page was getting traffic for some long tail keyword related to Lady Gaga or whatever, I would put a link to amazon mp3 download with some anchor text saying "Listen to Lady Gaga's new album". Just an idea.....

    Sell TV's, hats, coffee mugs, and place some Ebay or Etsy code on your blog that will match what you are talking about on your pop culture blog. The marketing is the same... just a different form of product.

    Thanks for all the tips, Warriors! One idea I had (along with some concerns) is to post some product reviews as Pages (I'm using Wordpress). They would not appear in my blog feed so anyone stopping by to read about pop culture would not see them. However, Google's spiders do see them.

    The fact that these pages are not reachable from the home page of the site and only through search has me concerned that Google may not like this. Should I be worried?

      You can put the page links in a menu that would appear on your homepage, or maybe a widget in a side bar with those links? just an idea as I have a similar type of site and that's an option I use.

    i think PPC like adwords and chitika can give you some money.. also maybe you can sell product too like cd music or movie that related to your content
