Credit card and PayPal Checkout Plugin

Hi Warriors,

I need your suggestion. We're having a project that is something to deal with ForEx trading. The site has a lot of information about Foreign Exchange and it will have a paid membership feature.

Just wondering if you know some free or paid WordPress plugin that accepts credit card and PayPal payment?

I would really appreciate for those who responded.

Thanks,

Justin Durano

you mean like a shopping cart?

take a look at woothemes and wp e-commerce, although you might have to pay, but then again if you've got members and theyre raking in the cash from forex, then that wouldn't be a problem would it?

To be honest, if there are free ones out there, often you get what you pay for - I'd rather pay a few bucks and get something that works, than opt for the free version, and lose sales because it doesn't work correctly.

      Thanks for your response Martin.

Yes, it is something like a shopping cart.
I may purchased some paid checkout plugins.

    Justin -

Definitely check out WooThemes, that was a good suggestion. I'd 100% go with a paid plugin or theme simply to make sure you get *support* in case something breaks/doesn't work.

Also - check out the buttons at PayPal, if you dive in there they have tutorials on how to create shopping cart buttons yourself and many of those can be set for recurring monthly fees. Their support has (fingers crossed) been good to me, but I have tried to be very proactive with them rather than only go to them when something is broken.

I have never used plugins for PayPal. I simply use the PayPal buttons that you can very easily setup from the PayPal website itself. I then integrate them into my WP sites.

So far I have not had any issue with it.

Maybe if you can define more precisely what do you want... members will be able to help you.

Plugin for what? What kind of additional feature do you need that the normal PP button cannot perform?

Do you want to have a membership site? - Then do NOT ask for PP plugin... ask the right question: a memberhsip plugin that has different checkout options.

      Hey Istvan,

      I really appreciate your response.

I think my post confused you on what plugin do I really need.
Actually the website is all about Forex trading and when someone wants to register they need to input some of their personal information and as soon as they clicked the register button they will be redirected to a page where they need to pay (silver or gold account). We require credit card and PayPal payments only.

That's why I'm asking if there is a good checkout plugin that will accept credit card and PayPal payment.

Hope that I make things clear now

      Thanks,
      Justin

I use woocommerce for my Wordpress sites. Has Paypal payment included. To accept credit cards, customers can use Paypal to pay with a credit card, or you can get a merchant account, which is also compatible with woocommerce with the appropriate extension. There's an extension for authorize.net and many other payment gateways and providers with woocommerce.

+1 for Woocommerce. One of my clients uses it as their ecommerce platform. Paypal Standard is free however you need to purchase additional plugins for Paypal Advanced or Pro integration.

My client uses Paypal Advanced which was $99 at the time of purchase.
