Tracking ClickBank Sales from Aweber

Hi guys.

I am a merchant with three products that sell fairly well at ClickBank and I have a list of 3000 people where I am recommending my products.

I have tried to set up tracking the sales with Aweber, but it doesn't seem to work because what I would like to do is to add a tracking id for each e-mail I send out so that when I sale is made I know it comes from "mail 15".

I have found this but it apparently works only for affiliates not for vendors:

http://www.linktrackr.com/blog/click...sion-tracking/

Right now I have not a clue whether the sales are coming from Aweber or not, and it drives me nut!

Thanks in advance!

You could always create another account which is strictly meant for being an affiliate to your own products. That way you can use the TID tracking, while maintaining a steady gravity.

Hmm, that's too circumstantial, don't like the idea at all, but thanks anyway.

You should reconsider. The answer given is correct, simple and the only way to do it

Harvey, I guess you are right, but how about the comissions, I am gonig to get splited comissions and lose money on this, which is sometihgn I don't want doing.

For example, if I have 50% for my products I am going to lose money whenever CB does the payment to my account.

      I don't understand.

Why/how will you lose out ?

Well, isn't the commission being added to this account? If I sell a product for $30 and this account is counted for sale then $15 is going to be added to this account while the other $15 is going to be added to my "original" CB account, right?

If I am going to be paid by cheques which I receive now I am going to lose as I will receive two separate cheques, right?

This solves one part of the puzzle, but I will not know which e-mail of my 50 autoresponder e-mail sequences the sale came from...

How about DL Guard, would that solve it, any experiences of it?

Ok so you are referring to losing out on cheque fees ?

      Two solutions

      1. Use direct deposit

      2. Raise the minimum payout level

      Not necessarily, no.

You can set the commission to 1%, if you want to - and if you want to be the only affiliate.

You can ask ClickBank to pay you by direct deposit/wire transfer, if you want to.

You can set a high payment threshold for the "affiliate account" to avoid paying in small checks, if you want to.

You can easily know that, if you want to, simply by using different TID's in different autoresponder series and/or emails - that way you could easily identify from which email every individual sale arose.

Edited to add: sorry - I was typing while Harvey posted (just above) and had not seen his reply.

Why can't you just add a tracking ID to your hoplink?

O.K this question is for "drewfioravanti"

If I have this vendor id: http://1.vendor.pay.clickbank.net/

For example, how would I then add tracking id to track the autoresponder sequence 23?

Harvey stated that its not possible to track the autoresponder sequence as vendor unless you want to create another account and use it as affilate for your own product?

By becoming your own affiliate, as explained above. You'd use the TID's as an affiliate, by appending them to a hoplink, rather than "as the vendor".

I have tried doing it but it doesn't work, feel free to provide me with an example, but its something with the vendor hoplink that doesn't seem to allow tracking id...

I must be missing something here. When I use Tracking IDs, which is 99% of the time, they work.

I must be misunderstanding your question.

Just use your vendor id as your affiliate id and add a tracking id to it...

    For example... vendorID.vendorID.hop.clickbank.net/?TID=Mail15

I think this would work for what you are trying to do, otherwise you will have to do like they mentioned above and open a separate CB account just for your affiliate promotions.

    Cheers,
    Coby

If you don't want to make an affiliate account for yourself as I mentioned before, just use vendor tracking id's vtid=XXXX.

You'll have to add more code to analyze it, but this get's passed to your thank you page.

That won't help. Vendor tracking id's are used to compare (split test) different versions of sales pages. They won't differentiate between an affiliate sale and a vendor sale.
