You're right on! This forum is made up of some incredible people we can all learn from and share ideas with. "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another" (Proverbs 27:17).

I totally agree but from time to time the advise on here can be dodgy but this is a very small percentage. I would just say to others to have an open mind.

You can save , trouble and lots of money by following an expert provided you yourself know what you're looking for.

What you're looking for is a system, an proven online business model that you can conduct. ( the affiliate models is perhaps the easiest for newbies )

And, you're looking for tools and resources to carry out your plan of attack.

All models are very simple but the devil is in the details and the minute so-called technical details of doing stuff like...

    - finding a niche to work in: ( as in serve )

    - finding or creating products for the people of the niche: ( or some other way to monitize your prospects )

    - slapping up some type of page on the net to receive and pre-sell your prospects:

    - Getting your prospects to your page: ( traffic generation )

    - Monitoring your results:

Get a system as soon as possible and you'll wipe away much of the confusion and info-overload that confronts and confounds newbies.

    - You won't have to work like a dog but lazy people normally don't make much money.

    Hope This Helps!!

The Warrior Forum is definitely a huge part of why I was able to walk away from having a boss.

You do have to be careful, because some of the advice shared here stinks, and some of it doesn't apply to everyone. For example, when someone needs money fast, a common refrain is to "write articles". However, not everybody has an apptitude for writing.

That being said, the WF is great for getting over the stumbling blocks, getting feedback, and help from people who have made plenty of mistakes*.

    All the best,
    Michael

    * The old saying says, "learn from your mistakes", but it seems smarter to "learn from other people's mistakes".

What I learned is that when you find some mentor online that has done very well and do what they tell you to do, good things happen.

That is what happened to me about 2-3 years ago. I was struggling and one day I found a great mentor and he trained me. Was it easy and was I able to succeed overnight? No. It took me a good number of months but I made it.

You need to find a good mentor that cares about you and your success and learn all you can from them.

The problem is there's also a lot of people on forums who are not 'experts', yet their advice is quickly given and readily received. Forums are full of struggling marketers who give out advice..

If someone invested 20 hours of their time per week over the past 6 months, in order to generate 1 or 2 $25 sales per week, is their advice good or bad?

In most cases, I would tend to say their example is not the best one to follow.

      Hi Jason,

      So true.

One of the articles in my "Success Factors" series is "Seek Advice Properly". Too many people overlook this vital step, yet it makes sense.

An example I like to use: You wouldn't go to a barber for legal advice, and you wouldn't let a lawyer cut your hair.

      All the best,
      Michael

Right on man! You always need some type of guidance to make it in any industry out there.

    =-)

You can't do it alone...so look for people who you want to emulate and make it happen!
